Ramana Maharshi on Free Will, Destiny And Karma
Questioner: “Are only important events in a man’s life, such as his main occupation or profession, predetermined, or are trifling acts in his life, such as taking a cup of water or moving from one place in the room to another, also predetermined?”
Ramana Maharshi: Yes, everything is predetermined.
Questioner: Then what responsibility, what free will has man?
Ramana Maharshi: What for then does the body come into existence? It is designed for doing the various things marked out for execution in this life. The whole programme is chalked out. “Not an atom moves except by His Will” expresses the same truth, whether you say “Does not move except by His Will” or “Does not move except by karma”. As for freedom for man, he is always free not to identify himself with the body and not to be affected by the pleasures or pains consequent on the body’s activities.
(Source: Day by Day with Bhagavan, 4-1-46 Afternoon)
Free-will and destiny are ever-existent. Destiny is the result of past action; it concerns the body. Let the body act as may suit it. Why are you concerned with it? Why do you pay attention to it? Free-will and Destiny last as long as the body lasts. But wisdom (jnana) transcends both. The Self is beyond knowledge and ignorance. Should anything happen, it happens as the result of one’s past actions, of divine will and of other factors.
(Source: Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi, Talk 193)
Make no effort either to work or to renounce work. Your effort is the bondage. What is bound to happen will happen. If you are destined to cease working, work cannot be had even if you hunt for it. If you are destined to work you cannot leave it; you will be forced to engage in it. So leave it to the Higher Power. You cannot renounce or hold as you choose.

Ramana Maharshi's advice on Sex and Adultery| Practice Of Brahmacharya
Q: Do you approve of sexual continence?
Ramana Maharshi: A true brahmachari [celibate] is one who dwells in Brahman. Then there is no question of desires anymore.
Q: At Sri Aurobindo’s ashram there is a rigid rule that married couples are permitted to live there on condition that they have no sexual intercourse.
Ramana Maharshi: What is the use of that? If it exists in the mind, what use is it to force people to abstain?
Q: Is marriage a bar to spiritual progress?
Ramana Maharshi: The householder’s life is not a bar, but the householder must do his utmost to practise self-control. If a man has a strong desire for the higher life then the sex tendency will subside. When the mind is destroyed, the other desires are destroyed also.
Q: I have committed sexual sin.
Ramana Maharshi: Even if you have, it does not matter so long as you do not think afterwards that you have done so. The Self is not aware of any sin and renunciation of sex is internal, not merely of the body alone.
Q: I am carried away by the sight of the breasts of a young woman neighbor and I am often tempted to commit adultery with her. What should I do?
Ramana Maharshi: You are always pure. It is your senses and body which tempt you and which you confuse with your real Self. So first know who is tempted and who is there to tempt. But even if you do commit adultery, do not think about it afterwards, because you are yourself always pure. You are not the sinner.
Q: How do we root out our sex idea?
Ramana Maharshi: By rooting out the false idea of the body being the Self. There is no sex in the Self. Be the Self and then you will have no sex troubles.

“The medicine of Grace to wipe out our sorrows is to develop unshakable faith in God and tolerance is the medicine of Grace to wipe out our sorrows. Bhakti alone can give us the capacity to put up with sorrows. Temples are the agencies for developing that Bhakti. Hence, the need for temples at all places. All offerings to the deities in the temples are tokens of our gratitude to God”

Autobiography Of A Yogi Audiobook Chapter 4
Autobiography of a Yogi Audiobook- This acclaimed autobiography presents a fascinating portrait of one of the great spiritual figures of our time. With engaging candor, eloquence, and wit, Paramahansa Yogananda narrates the inspiring chronicle of his life: the experiences of his remarkable childhood, encounters with many saints and sages during his youthful search throughout India for an illumined teacher, ten years of training in the hermitage of a revered yoga master, and the thirty years that he lived and taught in America. Also recorded here are his meetings with Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, Luther Burbank, the Catholic stigmatist Therese Neumann, and other celebrated spiritual personalities of East and West.
Autobiography of a Yogi is at once a beautifully written account of an exceptional life and a profound introduction to the ancient science of Yoga and its time-honored tradition of meditation. The author clearly explains the subtle but definite laws behind both the ordinary events of everyday life and the extraordinary events commonly termed miracles. His absorbing life story thus becomes the background for a penetrating and unforgettable look at the ultimate mysteries of human existence.
Considered a modern spiritual classic, the book has been translated into more than twenty languages and is widely used as a text and reference work in colleges and universities. Story of Bhagwan Sri Ramana Maharshi and thieves who injured him at the Ramanasram
Sri Ramana gave attention and showed affection to all beings who came within his orbit. He treated humans, animals, birds, bees, and plants with love, care, and the utmost courtesy. To those who showed him disrespect, he generally kept quiet. Sri Ramana understood human frailties and was not critical or judgmental of people. He forgave quickly and easily.
The Sage of Arunachala was fearless, self assured, and had a wonderful sense of humor. One time thieves broke into the Ashram in the middle of the night and started frightening and beating everyone. Bhagavan told the devotees to not fight back and let the thieves take what they wanted. One of the thieves hit Bhagavan on one of his legs with a stick. The sage offered the other leg as well and said to the thief, you can hit that one also. Later when the thieves left, a devotee commented on the marks on Bhagavan’s legs. Sri Ramana simply smiled and said that the thieves did “Puja” to him in their own way.
A sage gives the infinite treasure of wisdom and is never depleted or disappointed. Everything that comes to such a person; good or bad, painful or pleasant, is accepted as the divine will. There are many gurus and spiritual teachers. No doubt all are good in their own way. However, a truly Self-Realized sage is very rare indeed. Such was the Sage of Arunachala, Sri Ramana Maharshi.

What is the right age to have boyfriend, girlfriend and sex?
The most important thing to remember about relationships is that they come in all shapes and sizes. There is no one "right" type of relationship, and there is no one "right" age to be in a relationship. Whether you're in a relationship with a boyfriend or girlfriend, or you're in a more casual relationship, it's important to communicate your needs and boundaries to your partner.
College students often face unique challenges when it comes to relationships. They may be away from home for the first time, and they may be juggling a busy academic schedule with a social life. It's important to be realistic about what you can handle, and to be honest with your partner about your needs.

How Shiva Overcame Lust Beautifully Explained By Sadhguru
Lust is not just about opposite sex.
Shopping is lust.
Because you have to go towards something only then life will be complete. Every desire is lost because without that I cannot exist.
I want that because only when I have that this will be complete, it may be a thing. It may be a position, it may be power, it may be sexuality. It doesn't matter what it is. Essentially, lust means it creates a sense of incompleteness within you and a longing for something that it makes you feel. If you don't have that, you are not complete.
So he decides to burn the karma within himself. He burned the karma and then instead of sweat.
Ash, who's out of the ports of his body. This is the yogic story.
The common story told to the public is he was hiding behind the tree and he burnt him, opened his eyes and burned him. And then he took that ash and smeared himself.
The yogic dimension of the story is, arose within him. He opened his third eye, burnt him, and then ash slowly oozed out of his body, clearly showing him everything is laid to rest.
Everything that you.
Know as yourself should.
Die
When I said death.
It's not the physical.
Death, which is a problem.
The question is.
No, losing everything that you know as myself right now.
Your personality, your identity.
Once you learn to be an individual.
Beyond physiological and psychological formats, that means you are for good.
This is what living death means. So if you know how to be an individual still.
Without physiological and psychological format, you are a living death.
If you are a living death, you are eternal in your existence.
It is time that you become living death so that you live eternally.
But there's a certain dimension of.
Consciousness.
Which can go beyond time. Yama came to claim his life.
Markandai
Who knew?
The ways of life.
Just did one simple act.
They say he continued to live as a.
15 year
old because he came in touch with that dimension of consciousness which we refer to as Kala Byram.
