Have you ever wondered about the role confession plays in our salvation, or baptism, or faith, or grace, etc? There are many different passages that refer to our salvation and how we might be saved and sometimes they seem like they say something different. Sometimes, churches and preachers make these passages conflict with each other rather than reconciling them together, and sometimes they make up new terminology or ideas like "is an outward expression" and write things off as symbolism. We'll I BELIVE the Apostles had ONE doctrine concerning salvation. I believe it was for all men; whether male or female, Jew or Greek, bond or free. So I think its best to learn how these passages work together to help us understand how they taught men to be saved. Sometimes Christians are too hard on themselves when they fall short, or even continuously fall short. Accountability is good. Repentance is Good. But we should never forget God is willing to receive us no matter our faults if we are repentant. Never stop coming to Him! We can hold ourselves accountable without driving us into condemnation. Also, count the victories too! There are numerous times we avoid temptation and sin that we forget about after we fall. He sees both, so we think we should too. I am sure many believers think that the Jewish people, for the most part, are the people of God following Moses, living according to the Old Testament. This is hardly the case.
