I was challenged by an 80 Year Old Granny for a Sword Fight in India! Guess who won? Age is just a number and Meenakshi Gurukkal is real evidence of that, she is one of the oldest female gurus practicing the Indian Martial Art, Kalaripayattu, known as Kalari. Meenakshi Gurukkal has been teaching this art for more than 50 years, it is the oldest existing martial arts in India dating back to 3,000 years old. Am back in INDIA! Visiting Kerala to celebrate their biggest annual harvest festival: ONAM! Kerala is the only state with the highest number of festivals being celebrated and Onam is considered the biggest and most celebrated festival there. I got to experience the preparations of Onam; making the flower “Pookalam”, joining the lively and lovely parades with the people of Kerala, along with trying Onam’s huge meal: Sadya Meal!
