Obesity is a growing problem in the United Kingdom. More than 60% of all males in the UK are currently overweight or obese. Learn more at https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk
Being overweight or obese can have a dramatic impact on your lifestyle and health, specifically your sex life. Excess weight, especially around the mid-section, can interfere with your sex life and make it difficult for men to gain an erection.
This weight can affect the blood supply, which in turn affects how much blood can flow into your penis. It can even cause your natural testosterone production to decline.
There's a clear link between obesity and erectile dysfunction. Thankfully, there's something that can be done about this.
If you're overweight and suffering from erectile dysfunction, you need to make an effort to address each of these issues - not just one or the other. MansMatters in the UK is a truly holistic healthcare provider for obese and overweight men with erectile dysfunction.

History of Peyronie’s Disease | Treatment Options Of Peyronies Disease | Mansmatters
Peyronie disease is named after French surgeon François Gigot de la Peyronie, who described the condition in 1743. Peyronie disease is characterized by curvature in the penile shaft that is often preceded by painful erections and accompanied by an area of fibrosis. Learn more at https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk
Peyronie’s Disease (Induratio Penis Plastica), the curvature of the penis, has been mentioned in literature as early as the 1500s. It is noted in the works of the famous Italian anatomist Gabriel Fallopius a pioneer in reproductive organs and Andreas Vesalius a 16th century Dutch Physician and author of one of the most influential books on Human anatomy De Humani Corporis Fabrica Libri Septem (On the Fabric of the Human Body).
But it was not until 1743, that a surgeon at the Court of King Louise XV in France, called Francois de la Peyronie, outlined the disease in detail. From then onwards, the condition became commonly known in England as ‘Peyronie’s disease’ or simply ‘Peyronies’.
The first surgery to correct Peyronie’s disease and removal of the fibrous plaque was performed in 1882. Sixty years were too pass before further changes in surgery came along. In 1943 Mr. O.S. Lowsley removed plaque and insertion of new tissue. In 1965 R Nesbitt introduced a tucking technique. This surgery was popular at the time but would reduce penis length by up to 8cm (3 inches).
More recently, popular treatment was either Xiapen injections, Penile Plication which shortens the penis, and Penile Implants. With a Penile Implant, an erection is achieved with a manual pump. For more information please visit Peyronie’s Disease Treatment Options.
Today Focused Shockwave Treatment is considered the gold standard for Peyronie’s Disease treatment by leading practitioners around the world.
The benefits of Focused Shockwave therapy mean that patients do not have to undergo painful invasive surgery under sedation. The Shockwaves break down the fibrous plaque which is secreted naturally through the bodily waste system. The curvature or deformity is corrected and increased sexual function is restored.

Covid 19 and Erectile Dysfunction and peyronie's disease
Covid 19 has had the biggest impact on our planet since the last world war and it is too early to understand the long-term implications for men’s sexual health. Visit our website at http://mansmatters.co.uk/ and https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk/
Today there is limited clinical experience and no clinical studies in the areas of Erectile Dysfunction, Peyronie’s Disease, and Covid 19. What we do know is that COVID-19 affects the vascular system (the system that carries blood, pumped by the heart throughout the body). Erectile dysfunction is often a predictor of heart disease, so both the vascular system and problems with the male reproductive system are connected.
COVID-19 can also cause hyper inflammation in men affecting the heart and adjacent muscles. This can affect the blood supply to the penis. Blood supply to the penis is crucial in order for a man to achieve and maintain an erection. In fact, over 20 times the normal amount of blood needs to flow into the penis to enable this to happen.
A further area of future investigation will be around the damage COVID-19 causes to the blood vessels that supply blood to the penis. These blood vessels can become clogged with fatty deposits and calcium deposits resulting in damage to the endothelium (lining), meaning they lose their flexibility and ability not only to allow a free flow of blood but also to expand and contract. Damage to these blood vessels and the build-up of deposits can be a trigger in the development of Peyronie’s disease.
Successful intercourse is not just based on the vascular system it is also psychological. Impulses from our brain that travel via the central nervous system and tell our body to get aroused. An analogy would be a motor car. You need to turn the key or press a button to switch the ignition on (our brain) and make the fuel flow to the engine to make the car move (the blood).
The central nervous system controls our sense of smell and taste, which are all symptoms of COVID-19. Future studies will show if there are any longer-term impacts on the Central nervous system. Another psychological impact is depression and the impacts of long-term social distancing and lockdowns have yet to be fully understood on people’s mental health.
We do not know what the future problems Covid 19 will bring. What we do know is that there are now state-of-the-art treatments for men that suffer from Erectile dysfunction through vascular problems. Extracorporeal-focused shockwave therapy is the latest and most innovative treatment.
It not only improves blood flow to the penis, but it also cleans blockages in blood vessels, generates new blood vessels and nerve tissue, and signals stem cells to repair damaged tissues in the penis. Visit our website at http://mansmatters.co.uk/ and https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk/

Erectile Dysfunction and Pornography - Pornography Erectile Dysfunction Treatment – Mansmatters
There is an increasing body of thought that believes pornography can be a contributory factor in erectile dysfunction. Visit our website at http://mansmatters.co.uk/ and https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk/
Pornography, in different forms, has existed for at least 3000 years, dating back to ancient collections of carvings like the Kangjiashimenji Petroglyphs in China, through to discoveries of precious papyrus in excavations of Pyramids in Egypt.
In some cultures, pornography is considered taboo, whereas, in others like ancient Romans and Greek cultures, pornography and sex were intricately intertwined with religious beliefs.
But, today we are faced with a totally new age of pornography. An age where pornography of any type and fantasy is seconds away at the touch of a button on a phone or tablet….. and shockingly, it is so easy for boys, just reaching puberty to access pornography, meaning for many youngsters, their first exploration into sex doesn’t start with peering at a top-shelf magazine, a fumbled kiss or holding a hand, but with hardcore pornography.
The opinion is divided whether pornography contributes to erectile dysfunction, but increasingly our clinical experience suggests there is a growing link and it is not just erectile dysfunction, the ability to have satisfactory penetrative sex, but also a wider range of psychological and partner issues.
A recent study of over 3000 men of different ages, established that there was a correlation between the amount of pornography watched and an increasing incidence of erectile dysfunction…. And very worrying this showed that an increasing percentage of young men in their late teens and early 20s were complaining of this.
Our clinical experience suggests there are a number of reasons for this. One is desensitization to sexual stimulus and an increased need for more and more erotic stimulus. The stimulus starts with the senses: sight, touch, or smell, but especially sight. So, in the past, a female in a low-cut top may have triggered an erection in a young heterosexual male. His eyes were telling him to become sexually aroused. But nowadays, the mystique is gone, there are no surprises for a young male.
We are now seeing an increase in porn addiction, where males can watch hours of porn and become experts in self-pleasure, rather than a mutual pleasure enjoyed between two partners. In fact, if you are an avid porn watcher, make a note of just how much porn you watch in a week. Some men would be staggered to realize, just how addictive it has become.
At Mansmatters, we treat 1000’s of men with a range of sexual problems from erectile dysfunction through to Peyronies disease. Our most sought-after service is our program of extracorporeal focussed shockwave therapy, enabling men with erectile problems to discover satisfactory sex again. Erectile Dysfunction and New Relationships | How To Deal with Erectile Dysfunction in a Relationship
They say life begins at 40 or possibly even 50. Many of us are living longer and healthier lives and try to cling onto our youth. Being middle-aged at 35 when the Biblical lifespan was threescore years and ten doesn’t seem right anymore. Learn more at https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk
In fact, many men in this age group may find themselves looking for a new relationship. With 42% of UK marriages ending in divorce, it is not uncommon for men in this ‘new middle age bracket’ to start dating again. And If all goes well develop a long term and fulfilling relationship.
And it has never been easier no longer doing you have to be the odd one out, hanging around in bars or have over-zealous friends trying to pair you off in excruciating circumstances at dinner parties. Internet dating has opened up a whole new world of opportunity. And there is someone out there for everyone. Well almost everyone.
But the dread of many men suffering from Erectile Dysfunction is that they won’t live up to expectations. Whilst sex is only one aspect of a successful relationship and may not be as important to some partners as to when they were younger, how on earth do you put on the web profile that you suffer from ED?
While 18 percent of 50-59-year-olds have trouble getting an erection, 7 percent of 18-29-year-olds are also affected, so their new relationships can be affected as well.
Living with ED can add a layer of needless anxiety to your first-time with a new partner. How do you break the news to a new partner that you are unable to have sex? Most men are simply unable to and then resign themselves to a life without another partner. This is a tragedy of immense proportions.
The sad thing is that the vast majority of men could experience satisfying sex again if they had proper treatments and took proper advice from a specialist Erectile Dysfunction clinic. Treatment options range from Viagra and injections through to penile implants. This is where a prosthetic, with silicon tubes running up the inside of your penis, allows you to generate an instant erection. You can create these erections, right through to the day you take your last living breath.
If you are looking to start a new relationship and worried about erectile dysfunction, then visit our website at www.mansmatters.co.uk for help and further advice.

Erectile Dysfunction and Gay Men: Gay Men's Sexuality - Erectile Dysfunction Treatment – Mansmatters
Nobody likes to admit they’re having sexual problems including erectile dysfunction but as gay men, their sexuality defines them. Many Gay men have had to sacrifice friends and family in coming out and making a stand about their sexuality. Visit our website at http://mansmatters.co.uk/ and https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk/
Gay men are victims of the definition – Gay! The media and magazines infer that they’re ready for sex at the drop of a hat and always in the mood. So, if that doesn’t turn out to be a personal reality for a Gay man, they assume that they are at fault.
An inability to perform leads to acute embarrassment and a reluctance to get help. But many gay men suffer in silence rather than talk about the elephant in the room. But the harsh fact is that over 50% of Gay men over the age of 40 will suffer erectile dysfunction and a further 10% will suffer from Peyronie’s Disease. With Peyronie’s disease the penis starts curving like a banana and whilst it might seem novel in the early stages, this can be severely debilitating and can prevent sex in more advanced stages.
When we are young, erections do seem to have a mind of their own, whatever our sexual proclivity. When we were teenagers, it felt like they were always there, ready, whether we wanted them or not.
But as we get older, they can sometimes be a little shy even when they really shouldn’t. The fact is most men viewing this video have either had or will have, periods where they struggle with erections. Sometimes it won’t go hard at all. Sometimes it’s not quite hard enough to do the job, then sometimes it fixes itself. But for a large number of gay men, it becomes a medical issue.
This a real reason you should always go to see the doctor when it occurs – you might be saving your life, before the blood flow to the heart is affected. Low testosterone might be the culprit, especially if you’re an older gentleman. And then there are the drugs. Both prescription and ‘party’ drugs or ‘Chemsex’ are frequent factors in ED.
It can be just as concerning to find out your ED is caused by psychological issues, but just because you have psychological ED doesn’t mean your mental health, in general, is at risk. Most importantly, there is plenty of help available, regardless of the cause.
A new ground-breaking treatment, focused shockwave therapy can create permanent improvements. Focused shockwave therapy is now the gold standard for erectile dysfunction and Peyronies disease treatment and is widely discussed in our other videos. Focused shockwave therapy creates new and repairs existing blood vessels and rejuvenates nerve tissue, leading to a fuller and harder erections. It also breaks down plaque in Peyronies disease, which causes the bend in the penis.

Dupuytren's Contracture and Peyronie's Disease | Dupuytren's Contracture Treatment | Mansmatters
This video discusses the relationship between Peyronie’s Disease and Dupuytren's Contracture
With Peyronie’s disease, fibrous plaque forms in the inside lining of the penis, causing it to bend on erection - inhibiting the blood flow. Visit our website at http://mansmatters.co.uk/ and https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk/
Dupuytren's Contracture and Peyronie's Disease | Dupuytren's Contracture Treatment | Mansmatters
With Dupuytren’s Contracture, the same physiology occurs in the hand, and over a period of time, one or more fingers becomes permanently bent in a flexed position. It can get so bad, that it becomes very difficult or impossible to grasp objects. Dupuytren's contracture can affect both hands and all fingers. Not all the deformities are the same and a hand can have some fingers bent all the way to the palm and others bent at lesser angles.
The condition often develops with a small nodule under the skins of the palm and over time the pain gets worse. If you suffer from this condition you should seek early treatment. Since the early 1800’s it has been recognized that there is a correlation between Peyronie’s Disease and Dupuytren’s Disease. It is estimated that up to 15% of men who have Dupuytren’s Disease will also suffer from Peyronie’s Disease.
In the early stages of Dupuytren's Disease, before the fingers become too deformed, extracorporeal focussed shockwave therapy, can be an effective treatment for many men and women. The shockwave therapy targets the fibrous plaque and nodules and breaks them up. In conjunction with physiotherapy, this can straighten the sufferer’s fingers.
So, if you suffer from Peyronie’s disease and notice a change in your hands and fingers, Bonsignore it, it might not just be aging, it is very likely that you are suffering Dupuytren's contracture. To learn more about our Peyronie's disease and shockwave treatment visit our website at mansmatters.co.uk and check out our video Peyronies Disease Cure, which provides a comprehensive overview of all treatment options and a detailed animation of shockwave therapy.

Genetics and Peyronie's Disease | Genetics Disease Treatment | Genetics Disease | Mansmatters
One question posed by a number of our patients is whether Peyronie’s disease runs in the genes or not and whether it is something that could be experienced by other family members. Over the past 40 years, a number of studies have been undertaken but none have definitively shown genetics as a cause for Peyronie’s disease. Visit our website at http://mansmatters.co.uk/ and https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk/
Genetics and Peyronie's Disease | Genetics Disease Treatment | Genetics Disease | Mansmatters
However, there are a number of factors that support the theory that genetics play a part in the onset of Peyronie’s disease. Peyronie’s disease has a far higher occurrence in Caucasian men than in other ethnic groups. Like other diseases found in specific ethnicities for example Cystic Fibrosis, the higher prevalence suggests the presence of a founder mutation.
Peyronie’s disease is known as a fibroproliferative disease. With Peyronie’s disease, a fibrous plaque develops in the envelope that stretches the length of the penis. There is a strong correlation with other fibro-pro-lif-Erative diseases such as Dupuytren’s contracture, which is a deformity of the hand, where knots of tissue form under the skin, which develop into thick cords that pull one or more fingers into a bent position.
Up to15% of men with Dupuytren’s contracture also have been found to have Peyronie’s disease. And Dupuytren’s contracture is often found in families with a high prevalence of Peyronie’s disease. This overlap of symptoms suggests a common genetic predisposition.
Many men can remember a traumatic event; such a being injured during sex or being hit by a cricket ball that triggered off their Peyronie’s disease. However, very few men go through life, without at some stage being injured and experiencing severe pain in their private parts. But only a few develop Peyronie’s disease. This suggests that some individuals are ready primed to develop the disease in response to trauma, whereas others can experience a major trauma and not develop the condition. This too suggests there is a greater link to genetics.
But the bigger question, rather than genetics is what a man suffering from Peyronie’s disease can do about the condition. For years the answer was to leave the condition for 18 months, use a penile pump to stretch the penis, then when the condition has stabilized go under life-changing surgery to straighten and shorten the penis.
But, a new ground-breaking treatment, focused shockwave therapy is becoming the gold standard for Peyronies disease treatment and is widely discussed in our other videos. Focused shockwave therapy targets the fibrous plaque in which causes the bend in the penis, reduces the pain, and increases the girth and length of the penis.
To learn more about our shockwave treatment visit our website at mansmatters.co.uk and check out our YouTube channel videoPeyronie’s Disease Cure. These provide a comprehensive overview of all treatment options and a detailed animation of shockwave therapy.

Erectile Dysfunction and Stress | Stress Erectile Dysfunction Treatment | Mansmatters
Welcome to Mansmatters, Erectile dysfunction, and Peyronies disease shockwave clinic. In this video, we'll discuss erectile dysfunction and stress. Also, you'll know the best way to stress erectile dysfunction treatment. Learn more at https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk
Having a healthy blood flow that can surge into your penis and cause it to expand, lengthen, and be erect is one thing. But there is also a strong mental and emotional side to enjoying spontaneous erections.
In order to have an erection, electrical impulses from your brain are sent via the central nervous system to your penis telling it that it’s time for sexual intercourse. Sexual arousal can be stimulated by sight or the thought of an appealing sexual partner or by physical genital stimulation.
But stress can have a dramatic effect on your libido, causing performance anxiety and the onset of erectile dysfunction. Stress may be unexpected and a one-off event (hopefully not more) or caused by an underlying long-term condition.
Life has a habit of throwing up problems ranging from the catastrophic to the mundane. Financial pressures, divorce, business worries, emails being received 18-hours a day, aging parents, and troublesome teenagers leave many men running around a constant hamster wheel, with little time to switch off and relax.
Stress, aging, and the fact that many men in their 40’s and 50’ don’t have the unlimited energy of their youth can all play a part in damaging health. And the longer stress continues, the more health will be affected with problems with digestion, poor sleeping, a weakened immune system plus the creeping onset of Erectile Dysfunction.
It’s known that psychological factors are responsible for about 10%-20% of all cases of ED and affect your self-confidence and contribute to relationship problems.
Erectile Dysfunction and Stress & How to Overcome It:
If you are suffering from stress and are now experiencing erectile dysfunction, you should seriously consider seeking professional advice through a sexual and relationship therapist, a psychosexual therapist, hypnotist – alone, or through an ED Clinic.
If your erectile dysfunction is caused by stress, then these professionals will be able to help steer a path for you and your partner to manage stress and rediscover sexual intimacy.
For men who suffer both stress and an impaired vascular system, then focused shockwave therapy is an excellent therapy to repair and rejuvenate the penile blood vessels and nerve tissues.

Are you a social drinker? Do you find yourself drinking too much? Either way, alcohol CAN cause erectile dysfunction. This results in the ability for you to have a proper erection and makes it almost impossible for you to enjoy spontaneous sex. Learn more at https://www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk
While alcohol may seem to improve your sexual experience, this is not something you’ll experience for very long. Eventually, as we age, alcohol will inhibit your sex drive and damage your blood vessels.
Men that abuse alcohol will experience a decreased sexual desire, suffer from a damaged nervous system, and will have less blood flow to their penis. These symptoms will begin to be felt even while sober, which can have a devastating impact on your sex life and self-confidence.
Thankfully, Mansmatters can help men suffering from erectile dysfunction that may have been caused by excessive drinking. This is done through a revolutionary focused shockwave therapy that stimulates the growth of new blood vessels in the penis, stimulates healthy stem cells, and rejuvenates nerve tissue.
Those of you suffering from ED due to drinking or alcohol abuse and are looking for erectile dysfunction treatment options in London, Greater London, England, or anywhere in the UK should get in touch.

Erectile Dysfunction Diabetes. ED and Diabetes. Erectile dysfunction diabetes shockwave therapy
Are you a man suffering from diabetes? Are you also suffering from erectile dysfunction? The majority of men that contract, or are currently dealing with, diabetes will, at some point, experience issues with erectile dysfunction. Learn more at https://www.mansmatters.co.uk
It doesn't matter if you're a Type-1 or Type-2 diabetic, erectile dysfunction is a significant risk factor. If you're diabetic, or also overweight, the risk factor of erectile dysfunction skyrockets.
Diabetes affects the nerves and blood vessels that cause an erection. It also causes vascular problems, with fatty plaque building up and restricting the flow of blood in the blood vessels.
You may have found that oral medications, like Viagra, only work partially or for a little while. It's possible you've explored even more invasive options in an attempt to gain and maintain a solid, hard erection.
Thankfully, there is another method to cure your erectile dysfunction, even if you're suffering from diabetes. Shockwave therapy uses special sound waves to stimulate the growth of new blood vessels and nerve tissues in your penis. This enables more and better blood flow to the penis, allowing you to enjoy the pleasures of sex once again.
Those of you suffering from erectile dysfunction and looking for treatment options in London, Great London, England, or anywhere in the UK need to take advantage of our erectile dysfunction clinic.

Peyronie’s Disease and Sex | The Impact of PD on your Sex Life | PD and Shockwave therapy. London UK
Suffering from Peyronie's Disease, Peyronies or PD? MansMatters is Europe's Leading Peyronie's Disease and Men's Sexual Health Shockwave Clinic which uses groundbreaking extracorporeal focused shockwave therapy and electromagnetic transduction therapy to cure Peyronies Disease www.mansmatters.co.uk www.peyroniesdisease.co.uk
The impact of Peyronie’s Disease on Sexual Intercourse can have a catastrophic impact on a patient and their partner's sex life. Many couples ignore penis curvature for months or years before seeking any medical advice.
With around 10% of men in the UK suffering from this condition, the problem is far more prevalent than previously thought.
Unfortunately, the majority of men and their partners suffer in silence being none the wiser about available treatment and how this can rejuvenate their sex life. Talking about the health of your genitals should be as acceptable as talking about your digestive health for example.
The severity of the problem depends largely on how far the penis is bent.
Peyronie’s Disease Left Untreated
If the penis has a curvature of 10% then this will likely have little impact on overall sexual function. But if the curvature of the penis is 30 degrees or more, or occurs around the circumference, rather than on one side of the penis, then sex can be very difficult and in some cases impossible. Intercourse will also likely be further impaired by the onset of erectile dysfunction due to the changes in blood flow through the penis.
The increased curvature in the penis can also lead to further trauma and pain during sex, leading to further inflammation and scarring. That is why we recommend that men should not delay in seeking medical advice when experiencing this problem. So contact us soon.
