"Repentance Is Essential to the Gospel Message" (Luke 3:1-18) 2024-06-09 Longbranch Community Church
Join in as Pastor Sean stresses the absolute necessity of repentance as it relates to the gospel message and salvation. Sean pulled his sermon from Luke 3: 1-18. It’s not often one hears a sermon on this subject; thankfully, Sean’s straightforward approach allowed him to very effectively deal with a tough subject.
Additionally, we enjoyed our monthly bluegrass themed musical worship.
Thankfully, we got our video equipment resurrected earlier this week, so we’re back to a full bodied approach to sharing (almost) all of the factors that distinguish Longbranch Community Church as a uniquely bright light here on Washington’s Key Peninsula. Not too shabby given the fact that we are one of the very oldest Pioneer Churches in the entire region. Black & white gospel, delivered with conviction and sincerity in a traditional format; “that’s just who we are.”
*For those in a hurry, today’s sermon begins at the 20minute / 14second mark.

"The Heart of the Christian Faith", (Romans 3:21-26), 2024-06-02, Longbranch Community Church
Due to major technical difficulties, we were not able to record perhaps "thee" single best sermon I’ve ever heard at Longbranch Community Church. It was drawn from Romans 3:21-26 and titled “The Heart of the Christian Faith”. If there isn’t a digital copy attached to this video, please feel free to contact me directly; I’ll be happy to email you a copy of the written text. JefferyPrestage@gmail.com .
We were however able to piece together several vignettes shot on personal phones. Highlighted are Judah Day’s recitation of the Ten Commandments, the welcoming of ten new church family members and four baptisms in the refreshingly brisk waters of the Puget Sound.
Welcome to: Michael & Kasey Abernathy, Michael & Haidee Clingman, Derek & Adria Hanson with daughter Sophia and son Liam!
And baptismal congratulations to: Haidee Clingman, Liam Hanson, and Austin & Courtney Dooley! There’s no doubt that scripture memorization, welcoming new church members and celebrating these baptisms each reflect the beauty and wonder of Pastor John’s “stellar” sermon!

"The Gospel Is an Event", EV3of9, (1st Cor 15:1-11), 2024-05-26, Longbranch Community Church
Join in as Pastor John Day of Longbranch Community Church delivers the third installment, in a series of nine, addressing “evangelism”. In this sermon, John explains that even prior to being crowned as our primary message and purpose, the gospel itself was a real event, featuring a handful of apostles, one true God/man/Savior and thousands of witnesses – hundreds of whom personally witnessed the Risen Christ!
Contrary to the world’s belief: This is not a story – “this is actual history!”
Please Note: this video is the 1st ever where we abbreviated (via the editing process) some of the non-essentials of church worship “and” completely withheld publishing our time of prayer. From this point forward, our prayer time will be respected as being absolutely private – for our families only. The best way around this new policy would be to come on down, we’re entirely happy to share the details with everyone who attends our uniquely old fashioned worship service in this authentic Pioneer Church. We’ll leave a light on for ya!

"King on the Cross", (Matt 27:27-44), 2024-03-24, Longbranch Community Church
Join in as Pastor John Day reminds our Longbranch Community Church family that the world will always mock the cross. He uses Matthew’s account (27:27-44) to highlight the disdain, mockery, and shame of Jesus’ crucifixion. In v.46 Jesus then calls out “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”
But the fact remains: “If” Jesus truly was/is the Son of God, …his crucifixion and resurrection changed literally “everything”. The choice each and every sinner needs to make is Jesus is either: “all – or he is nothing/nobody at all.” We, at LCC believe: #1) there is no other than Jesus, #2) there is no other way than through Jesus, and #3) Jesus shows us the way through his inerrant, infallible Word.

Very simple: Because they are not “of God.”
