An Iron beast CNC
Hello yall,
I have built this CNC machine from scratch, I designed it in fusion 360. Built with steel, since it was cheaper then aluminum profiles.
I used 80x80mm square tubing that was 2mm thick by 800mm long for the feet.
I used 40x 80mm rectangle tubing for the table.
20b80x400mm rectangle for the arms of the gantry. 4mm thick
X gantry is 2 80x80 mm welded together. to come up with an overall 160 width and 1500mm long.
I used 1605 ball screws and HGH or HGR 20 linear bearings.
the alu plates are 15 mm thick, reason for that is I will also cut aluminum on this machine.
