I recently acquired the Nokta Legend LG24 search coil and I've been putting it through some tests. But I wanted to give a real test with real targets at a real site that has been hunt really hard by others over the years. I didn't have high expectations but I really enjoyed using this coil. I recorded every target I dug to include the sound, the target IDs, and big reveal. I even tested the target IDs against M1, M2, M3, and single frequencies to see the difference. I couldn't wait to get this new Nokta LG24 coil for the Legend. Initial air tests showed amazing depth but do the air tests hold up to real targets in the ground? To find out, I ran some tests in my test garden for M1, M2, M3, and single frequencies to determine the answer. I was shocked but not too shocked at what I discovered. Hitting the river again with Deb, Gary, and Allen. There were 2 Garrett AT Pros, (2) Deus 2, and a Manticore. Truth be told, Deb was a savage on the river as you will seen in the video. She crushed it. I took the more selective approach and focused mostly on coins but it cost me in numbers of targets dug compared to what was found as a collective whole. I had fantastic time testing 4 metal detectors on the beach during vacation. In this video the Minelab X-Terra Pro is up to bat. I only took it out for short period of time but it proved it is capable of detecting the wet sand. Is it better than a Legend, Deus 2, or Manticore? It surely doesn't cost that much. This metal detector is great for beginners who want to find something on the beach and for those who want an all around good detector for land, water, and beaches. Will it find everything?
