2024 Honda ZR V Revealed For Europe With Hybrid Power

Thank you)
The Honda Z Runabout Vehicle has been on sale in Japan for close to a year and now the ZR-V has officially landed in Europe. What is it? Essentially, it's the HR-V sold in North America where the model is larger than the namesake vehicle offered on the Old Continent. In other words, the Euro-spec ZR-V fills a gap we didn't know existed between the HR-V and the CR-V. One can never have too many crossovers, right?
The ZR-V can be best described as the Civic of crossovers and is offered in Europe exclusively with a 2.0-liter hybrid powertrain you can't have on the US-spec HR-V for some reason. This electrified four-pot version is also sold at home in the Land of the Rising Sun and offers a combined output of 181 horsepower and 315 Newton meters (232 pound-feet) of torque.
Details regarding performance have yet to be released, but Honda promises "powerful acceleration comparable to a V6 3.0-liter engine" thanks to the ICE working in conjunction with a pair of electric motors for a hybrid setup borrowed from the Civic e:HEV. Output is channeled to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT). In Japan, you can get the electrified ZR-V with all-wheel drive.
It should be mentioned the ZR-V is 4570 millimeters (180 inches) long and 1840 mm (72.4 in) wide, thus making it closer in size to the outgoing CR-V rather than the next-generation model unveiled today in European specification. With the rear seats folded, it offers a cargo capacity of 1,291 liters (45.6 cubic feet).
Unveiled today at the European Media Event in Offenbach, Germany, the ZR-V is slated to go on sale this fall and take on the Nissan Qashqai and other mainstream compact crossovers.

The crossovers adopt the brand's Pure Design language.
Automakers do their best to keep their future products a secret. However, China's odd regulatory requirements sometimes spill the beans before a model's official debut. That's what happened with the 2024 Buick Envision S and Envision Plus, with images and details leaking from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The Envision S looks like the crossover we get in America, just with new front and rear fascias. The crossover adopts the brand's new Pure Design styling language, giving the model thin daytime running lights high on the face, separated headlights, and a wide grille that looks like an isosceles trapezoid. The model also wears the brand's new emblem
At the back, the Envision S sports a new taillight design, which sits above a modestly revamped bumper and diffuser. According to the government documents, the updated crossover still uses its 2.0-liter engine, which makes 227 horsepower.
The updated Envision Plus also leaked, which made its official debut in early 2021. It also undergoes a styling makeover, adopting the brand's new design ethos. It has narrow headlights and a trapezoidal grille. It'll also receive updated rear-end styling like the S. The leaked documents indicate that the larger seven-seat Envision Plus will have a 1.5-liter engine under the hood making 201 horsepower, which complements a 2.0-liter four-cylinder option that's available.
The leaked information didn't include any photos of the two models' interiors. However, the pair could receive a new cabin layout that replaces the traditional setup with a dash-spanning dual-screen one. Such an interior debuted last month on the Envista that's coming to the US, which first broke cover for the Chinese market in 2022.
The current Buick Envision is in the middle of its second generation, and there are signs that the automaker is readying its redesign for the US. The leaked images provide a sneak peek of what the updated model could look like in North America, which could arrive later this year. The 2023 Envision currently features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 228 horsepower. It pairs with a nine-speed automatic.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie Unleash Its 1,100 HP V12 Engine

It looks at home at the Hockenheimring.
Aston Martin started producing the Valkyrie 18 months ago. The supercar is unlike anything else on the road, looking like the star of a sci-fi flick. There aren’t many in the world, with Aston limiting production to just 150 examples. It’s a rare beast, but a new video captures the supercar ripping around Hockenheimring, unleashing the full fury of its V12 engine, which is not just any ordinary powertrain.
The Valkyrie uses a Cosworth-developed 6.5-liter V12 engine, which is exciting in its own right. It revs up to 11,000 rpm and makes around 1,000 horsepower. However, Aston Martin also enhanced the output with an F1-inspired KERS-style boost system that adds an extra 160 hp, taking the total output to 1,140 hp. The hybrid setup makes 664 pound-feet of torque, which lets the car hit 60 miles per hour in an alleged 2.5 seconds. Its top speed is well over 200 mph.
The Valkyrie doesn’t reach that speed in the video, but it does accelerate quickly. The video shows the car tearing around the race track with the V12 fully unleashed – and it sounds downright demonic. The Valkyrie looks like a futuristic race car, which Aston made as the Valkyrie AMR Pro. It lacks the non-Pro’s electric assist but still churns out 1,000 hp. Aston only made 25 of those, so good luck seeing one in the real world. And don’t expect to buy one, as Aston quickly sold them all.
The Valkyrie’s bonkers output and other wooly performance are aided by its low weight. It tips the scales at just over 2,200 pounds, which is impressive for a hybrid. Aston’s extensive use of lightweight materials like carbon fiber and titanium helped keep the pounds off and the price high.
The extensive build process adds to the cost, originally costing $3 million. It takes a team of skilled technicians over 2,000 hours to hand-build each car. With the automotive future likely shifting toward full battery-electric vehicles, supercars like the Valkyrie might soon be a thing of the past. Or turn into something even rarer.

Novitec also adds a lightweight exhaust and lowers the ride height.
As the Lamborghini Revuelto shows the future of the Italian supercar maker, the tuner Novitec sends the Aventador out with a bang by modifying an LP 780-4 Ultimae.
The Novitec-tuned model wears a carbon-fiber body kit. The pieces include additional sections above and below the air intakes. The hood has longer vents than the stock version. Along the sides, there's additional rocker panel trim. The company offers two, optional rear wing designs. A new engine cover has integral air ducts that reduce front-axle lift at high speeds.
The car rides on forged, center-lock wheels from Vossen that have a 20-inch diameter in front and a 21-inch size at the back. The design features widely spaced, Y-shaped spokes. Buyers have a choice of 72 colors for them, in addition to picking a brushed or polished surface.
Novitec adds an exhaust that weighs 42 pounds (19 kilograms) less than the stock unit. The tuner also installs new springs for the suspension that lower the car by 1.378 inches (35 millimeters.
The Aventador Ultimae debuted in 2021 as the final iteration of the supercar. It features a 6.5-liter V12 making 769 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 531 pound-feet at 6,750 rpm. The car weighs 3,417 pounds. The model accelerates to 62 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds and to 124 mph in 8.7 seconds. The top speed is 220.5 mph (335 kph)
Lamborghini offered the Ultimae in coupe and roadster forms. Buyers had the choice of 18 standard colors and over 300 hues from the Ad Personam customization division. The company limited production to 350 hardtop models and 250 convertibles.
Lamborghini delivered the final Ultimae in November 2022. The company auctioned the car, and it sold for $1.6 million. The model featured a unique, exterior color gradient transitioning from blue to black. The vehicle included an NFT depicting the vehicle and a private tour of the Lamborghini museum.

Land Rover Defender Gets Convertible Conversion From Heritage Customs
It's called the Valiance, and it's more than just a roofless Defender.
The Land Rover Defender stacks up neatly against the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco, save for the lack of a convertible top. Yes, you can order a new Defender with a folding roof, but it takes the place of the power sunroof occupying just a portion of the fixed-in-place hard top. The folks at Heritage Design decided that wasn't good enough, so they created the Valiance Convertible.
In short, it's a Defender 90 with a full fabric roof that folds back to let the fresh air and sunshine pour through. Of course, it's not as simple as cutting the top off the iconic off-roader. A full roll cage is added for strength and safety, meeting FIA standards. The fabric roof is hand-stitched and installed as a power-folding top. The Defender's B-pillar is retained in the process, requiring considerable fabrication for fixed portions of the roof where the top rests along the doors and windshield.
In becoming the Valiance Convertible, Heritage Designs also adds a plethora of custom treatments. Naturally there are upgraded wheels and tires to choose from, and the company offers a range of interior trim options including full leather upholstery. Upgraded sport seats are optional, and there's also the neat Magic Metal pack from Heritage Designs that allows any surface to be painted with a metal-like finish. Special badging identifies this open-top Defender as something special.
For those who want to go deeper into customization, the company will happily accommodate a wide range of colors for the exterior, interior, and top. To offer some inspiration, Heritage Designs created three Valiance trims with distinctive touches. Cote d’Azur features a striking blue exterior combined with a tan top and 22-inch Space Cowboy wheels; Kokkini Paralia goes for a matte red finish with black trim and 22-inch Supersonic wheels, and Solihull Sand is an homage to the first Land Rover from 1948 with a green exterior, tan top, and 20-inch wheels.
"The Heritage Customs Valiance Convertible is the ultimate expression of our customers," said Jan-Pieter Kroezen, co-owner of Heritage Customs. "Based on the sketches, a number of our very loyal customers have immediately purchased their coachbuilt Valiance. These customers have tailored their ultra limited, handcrafted Defender with the power-operated soft-top, Magic Metal elements, and a beautifully handcrafted interior exactly to their wishes."
The Valiance Convertible is built-to-order, meaning Heritage Designs doesn't keep any vehicles in stock. Pricing for the conversion starts at €82,500, which currently translates to approximately $90,400.

Will Tesla Roadster Beat Rimac Nevera's 0-60 Time? Musk Says "LOL"
check out the full version on my youtube channel

Thank you)
The Rimac Nevera set 23 production electric car records in one day, including 0-60 mph in 1.74 seconds, but Elon Musk finds that funny.
Yesterday we learned that the Rimac Nevera set no fewer than 23 records in one day, including 0-60 mph in a staggering 1.74 seconds and 0-249-0 mph in a mind-blowing 29.94 seconds.
That's impressive stuff for any car, even for an ultra-limited electric hypercar that starts around $2.15 million (2 million euros). It also proves that if anyone wants to achieve such high levels of performance, they need a battery-electric vehicle to do the job.
But do you know who's not impressed with the Rimac Nevera's records? Elon Musk, or at least that's how one can interpret the reaction he had to the news on Twitter.
Asked by Teslaconomics whether the Tesla Roadster will be able to beat the 0-60 mph record of 1.74 seconds set by the Rimac Nevera, Tesla's CEO replied cryptically with an "LOL."
Despite hundreds of follow-up comments from Twitter users, Elon Musk did not clarify what he meant by the "laughing out loud" acronym. The most logical assumption would be that the Tesla Roadster will be way quicker than the Rimac Nevera.
While that may seem hard to believe considering the fact the Nevera is a $2.15 million purpose-built electric hypercar featuring cutting-edge tech, one must not forget the insane performance Tesla has managed to squeeze from the Model S Plaid and Model X Plaid, two family-sized vehicles that start at just under $110,000.
The Model S Plaid, for example, does 0-60 mph in 1.99 seconds and covers the quarter-mile in 9.23 seconds with a 155-mph trap speed, according to Tesla's website.
Seeing as the Tesla Roadster is expected to feature an evolution of the tri-motor electric powertrain in the current Plaid models, and that it will most definitely be lighter and more aerodynamic than the Model S Plaid, the Rimac Nevera's 0-60 mph record doesn't look impossible to break.
At the Roadster's 2017 unveiling, Tesla said the electric supercar can do 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds, and that's without the SpaceX option, which is supposed to lower the 0-60 time to a ridiculous 1.1 seconds.
Mind you, as someone pointed out on Twitter, that wouldn't be a fair fight because the Nevera does not offer cold gas thrusters powered by overwrapped pressure vessels.
We might learn what the Tesla Roadster is capable of as early as next year, when the model will "hopefully" launch, according to Elon Musk's comments at the 2023 Annual Shareholder Meeting on May 16.
"We expect to complete the engineering and design of the next-gen Tesla Roadster this year and hopefully – this is not a commitment – start production next year," he said. Musk also noted that while the Roadster will not become a huge contributor to revenue and will be a modest contributor to profitability, "it will be sick."

It has a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 engine under the hood.
Apocalypse Manufacturing has taken its Juggernaut 6x6 and lobbed off two wheels to create the Super Truck. It's a 4x4 off-road pickup with a wild new body styled after the manufacture's other model and a potent engine upgrade under the hood.
The pickup, based on the Ram 1500, features a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 engine. It makes 850 horsepower in the modified truck, with full-time four-wheel drive. Five drive modes – Sport, Drag Race, Baja, Rock, and Mud – adjust various vehicle settings, including the suspension and shocks. Owners can even create and save custom off-road modes, too.
The thing is a beast and sits on 40-inch tires that wrap around 22-inch SFJ rims. The modified pickup truck measures 83 inches tall, 98 inches wide, and 240 inches long. It has locking differentials, a Dana 60 axle, an independent front suspension, and a 15,000-pound towing capacity.
"With the Super Truck, we wanted to combine medieval, barbaric design, that is impossible to ignore, with the ferocity of the Hemi Hellcat engine," said Joseph Ghattas, owner, engineer, and head designer of Apocalypse Manufacturing.
Its rugged body, which on this example is finished in the armored epoxy coating, features a bold Grumper (grill and bumper combo), while the rear stands out with bold Apocalypse branding and a slated steel bumper. The open wheel wells look extreme, but they allow the truck to launch off a ramp 10 feet into the air without issue, which Apocalypse tested more than 50 times.
Inside, plush leather adorns the heated and cooled seats, the dashboard, and the armrests. There is a 12-inch integrated head unit, a Harmon Kardon surround-sound system, parking sensors, a bird's-eye camera, power seats, power steps, and a panoramic sunroof. Apocalypse protects the truck bed with a waterproof and retractable roll-and-lock slanted cover.
Pickup trucks are as popular as ever, and the Apocalypse Super Truck is one way to stand out from the crowd. No one would mistake the 4x4 Super Truck as anything but capable and mean. The exterior styling and potent powertrain are enough to make heads turn.

The tuner also lowers the suspension and adds gold accents to the body.
The tuner Manhart gets ahold of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport P530 and turns it into the SV 650. The result is an SUV that makes 644 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque.
The Range Rover Sport P530 uses a BMW-sourced twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 with a stock output of 523 hp and 553 pound-feet. Manhart takes this engine and adds its MHtronik powerbox. The company can also fit an exhaust with remote-controlled valves, but this piece doesn't have a TÜV certificate, so the tuner can't sell it in Germany.
The tuner doesn't quote acceleration specs, but the stock powertrain can get the SUV to 60 miles per hour in 4.3 seconds when using the Dynamic Launch system.
Manhart also drops the Range Rover Sport's ride height by 1.181 inches (30 millimeters). A set of 24-inch diameter wheels fill out the fenders, and they're 10 inches wide.
The tuner doesn't modify any of the body components but adds gold accents to the exterior. There are stripes on the hood, sides, and tail. Underneath the hood, the engine cover receives similar touches.
thanks to the MANHART decor set, numerous gold-colored lettering and trim strips extend over its black paintwork.
The latest generation Range Rover Sport debuted for the 2023 model year. It rides on Land Rover's MLA-Flex platform, which is also underneath the current Range Rover. In addition to the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, there are also two flavors of mild-hybrid, turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engines making 355 hp for the P360 SE or 395 hp for the P400 SE Dynamic. The P440e has a plug-in-hybrid-assisted turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that makes 434 hp and an estimated 48-mile electric-only range.
The latest Range Rover Sport has a 13.7-inch driver display and a 13.1-inch infotainment screen. A stereo with up to 29 speakers is available. Over-the-air updates allow for sending new code 63 electronic modules.
On May 31, Land Rover will introduce the Range Rover Sport SV. It will allegedly be available only by invitation, at least initially.

Tesla Roadster "Hopefully" Entering Production In 2024: Elon Musk

Thank you)
The CEO said Tesla expects to complete the engineering and design of the next-gen Tesla Roadster this year.
The second-generation Roadster has taken a back seat in recent years when it comes to Tesla product launches, with the EV maker prioritizing the rollout of the Semi and Cybertruck instead.
While that's understandable seeing as the trucks have the potential to bring in more money for the company, the fact remains that almost six years have passed since the Tesla Roadster 2.0 was first shown.
At the time of its unveiling in December 2017, Tesla said it would launch it in 2020, which means it's three years overdue at this point. In 2020, the Roadster was delayed to 2021, and then pushed back by a year every year, including in 2022.
Well, the good news is the wait is about to end, with Tesla planning to complete the Roadster's design and engineering by the end of this year, according to CEO Elon Musk. He said at Tesla's shareholder meeting yesterday (check out the above video) that the automaker will "hopefully" put the vehicle into production next year.
During the Q&A session, an investor asked Musk when the Roadster might finally launch, and the executive replied by pushing back the car another year, "hopefully" to 2024.
"Totally reasonable question. Where is that thing?" Musk jokingly replied. "We expect to complete the engineering and design of the next-gen Tesla Roadster this year and hopefully – this is not a commitment – start production next year."
#tesla #teslaroadster #teslamodels #elonmusk
While the world is now used to Musk's unreliable product timelines, this time he might be on to something, as he seemed confident that engineering and design would be completed this year. Furthermore, Tesla should achieve volume production of the Tesla Cybertruck and Semi by 2024, allowing the automaker to focus on the Roadster next year.
Musk also referred to car's importance for Tesla's bottom line, which he expects to be "modest."
"It's not even the icing on the cake, it's the cherry on the icing on the cake, so it's definitely not going to be a huge contributor to revenue and it will be a modest contributor to profitability, but it will be sick," Musk said about the Roadster.
He definitely has a point as limited-run halo cars like the Tesla Roadster tend to have higher unit margins, but the number of buyers willing to spend more than $200,000 on one is not that high.
Building on the "sick" part, Musk said the Roadster will offer the SpaceX option package that will make it "truly next level."

Michael Jordan Takes Delivery Of 1,817-HP Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster

Hennessey will build just 30 examples of the convertible.
There is no shortage of supercars to choose from if you have six or seven figures to spend and an empty parking space in your second garage that needs to be filled. You have options from Ferrari, McLaren, Pagani, Gordon Murray, and others to start. For NBA legend and businessman Michael Jordan, the selection is likely endless, but he has added a rare Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster to his roster of vehicles.
Hennessey Performance posted the photo of company CEO John Hennessey standing with Michael Jordan in front of his Venom F5 Roadster and Jordan’s private golf club in Florida named Grove XXII. The photo doesn’t show off much of the supercar, which debuted just over a year ago, but it does reveal the car’s exposed and glossy carbon-fiber body and its yellow pinstripes.
Underneath the F5 Roadster’s sheetmetal hides a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V8 engine. It produces 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 pound-feet of torque, which runs through a seven-speed, single-clutch semi-automatic transmission. Hennessey claims the supercar can exceed 300 miles per hour, with the company claiming the roadster “the world’s fastest and most powerful convertible.”
The Venom F5 Roadster looks a lot like its coupe sibling, especially at the front. However, things start to change at the cabin, which features a removable carbon-fiber roof panel that weighs just 18 pounds. New tempered glass at the back provides a peek at the potent engine behind the passenger compartment. The glass is made of a material that can withstand temperatures over 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Roadster’s lack of a roof does increase its curb weight, but not by much. The regular F5 tips the scales at 2,998 pounds, while the F5 Roadster weighs under 3,100 pounds, so there isn’t a big difference.
Jordan is one of only 30 people to own an F5 Roadster, as Hennessey limits its production. The company said it’d make just 24 examples of the coupe, so the convertible isn’t as rare. The increased production number also coincides with an increased price tag, the Venom F5 Roadster costing $3 million to start compared to the $2.1 million coupe. Production began in late 2022.
