Is THIS Who The DOCTOR Is NOW?!!! Christmas 2023—The Church on Ruby Road
The 2023 Doctor Who Christmas special 'The Church on Ruby Road', gave us a very different take on the franchise. As promised, showrunner Russell Davies leaned heavily into fantasy. He also leaned heavily into the Doctor's new origin story, using the new companion Ruby Sunday to solidify the narrative. Shockingly, the Doctor also appears to now be an exterminator of nuisance creatures. Check out our video to get a detailed analysis of Ncuti Gatwa's first solo episode of Doctor Who.

As established franchises are dying, it seems that fan fiction is hitting a slump as well. Are there any original amateur productions out there to replace what's come before? Or is creativity truly dead?

Doctor Who's Toymaker LOSES Evil Laugh Competition to a PUPPET!!!!
The evil laugh doesn't come naturally to some villains, but it seems to be an innate ability in evil puppets. The Toymaker competes with Doctor Horrible, the Toymaker's own puppet, and Conky from Trailer Park Boys for the most evil laugh. (FUNNY CLIPS)

A DISAPPOINTING RIDE—'The Giggle' Doctor Who 60th Anniversary WASN'T Special
Russell T Davies has done much better work than this, but it seems that his best days are behind him. This episode felt fragmented, the Toymaker was a dumbed-down version of his previous incarnation, Ncuti Gatwa flew away in a knock-off TARDIS while answering the question 'boxers of briefs', and tired David Tennant's Doctor Retired to Donna's Backyard. 'The Giggle' seemed to be the product of a lot of people who just didn't want to be there and really couldn't have cared less.

EMOTIONAL Doctor OBJECTIFIES Isaac Newton—Feels SAD About 'Flux'
This episode felt like it was written by multiple authors of varying abilities. The 14th Doctor is definitely not the 10th, which makes for a jarring watch. And cultural messages aside, the main story came off as a pretentious rehash of older narratives—but with less logic.

Doctor Who Star Beast Even Fails at 'The Message'
This episode was a huge FAIL, and it seems to be Russell Davies' fault. Davies made terrible additions to the original Star Beast story, and gave us terrible messaging that doesn't appear to support the community Davies' says he was championing. What did we just watch?

Crossover Episode Worst of Both Worlds–Star Trek Strange New Worlds S02E07
The Saturday release snuck right by us, and after watching this episode, we wonder if that was the point. Star Trek was never a joke to us, but it seems that it is to the NuTrek writers. The childish story also drove home that Boimler is even more annoying in live action than he is as an animated character.
