Ep 5 | Reality: Culture (ft. Media & Tech)
In this episode, we’re talking about media and technology’s influence on culture! Media and technology are silent predators in every home and family. The family unit has become more busy and farther removed from relations with one another which has resulted in a huge reliance on technology and media to keep children occupied. However, it's clear that the people on the other side of the device don’t have anyone’s best interest at heart besides their own. The behavior that is being encouraged and the ideologies that are being promoted have a sinister agenda tied to them and we’re going to talk about what they are.

Ep 4 | World vs. Word: Dating vs. Courting
In this episode, we’re talking about dating! Specifically dating vs. courting, the secular worldview of dating vs. the biblical worldview of dating. The world doesn’t understand what unconditional, sacrificial love looks like. Because it doesn’t know the Lord, it sells love as a big fat lie. Believe it or not, relationships are not about feelings. The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” Unfortunately, what we tend to do with our dating lives is admit defeat when faced with the great mystery of relationships. We throw up our hands and hope for the best. But a healthy relationship requires intentionality both for your sake and those around you.

Ep 3 | World vs. Word: Metanarrative
Last episode we compared the secular worldview with the Biblical worldview using the worldview elements. Today’s episode will compare the two worldviews using their metanarratives. The metanarrative will emphasize the big picture, all-encompassing theme that ties together the storylines of each worldview to reveal their overarching stories. There are four questions that help us tie this story together. Who am I? Why am I here? What’s wrong with the world? How do we fix it?

Ep 2 | World vs. Word: Worldview Elements
Ever wonder why people do and say the darnedest things? The answer lies in their worldview. A worldview is the foundation we build our lives on, it’s a frame or lens we use to process the world around us, and it’s the map we use to guide our decision making. In this episode, we’re taking a look at two worldviews that are diametrically opposed: the secular (the most prolific worldview used today) and the Biblical. We’ll be analyzing these two worldviews by using, what are called, worldview elements.

Ep 1 | Reality with Lana Lynette
Welcome to Reality with Lana Lynette! Did you know that truth and reality are manifested around us? They are visible, tangible, and authentic in matter. But the world does a great job at covering it with lies and deceit. The fact that many of us are too distracted to take notice is a result of a godless society where mankind’s eyes are fixated on the self more than they are on God. I pray that this podcast will help you make sense of reality as we look at culture, society, politics and more through a Biblical worldview. The world is so successful in telling us what to think about and how to think about it—it has come time for that to change.
