"The Pitch" takes a look at the world of international street performing buskers to find out why these men and women have chosen to "pass the hat" to make a living, along with the challenges they face. Buskers featured in the film hail from Australia, England, the US, and Canada, providing a broad spectrum of performers and a unique view into a world few people know about. "What excited me about this project is the remarkable life of these entertainers," says Jim, the director. "These artists perform in front of tens of thousands of people every week across the globe. They have the widest possible audience any entertainer could ever dream of, yet they can walk down the street with nobody recognizing them. It was great to explore their challenges and learn what makes them tick."
