Best Trails in Vegas: McCullough Hills Trail | Vegas Strip Views Sunset Scenic Bike Ride
This video is a compilation of several bike rides taken on the McCullough Hills MTB Trail during 2023. This easy (green rated) trail is approximately 9 miles in length and is located in Henderson, Nevada (just outside of Las Vegas). There are multiple, shaded rest stops. as well as several scenic lookout points along the way. This video starts at the Mission Hills Park trailhead and ends near the Anthem Hills Park Trailhead. There are many great spots to view the entire Las Vegas strip from around 3,000 ft. There are also a decent amount of desert wildlife including big horn sheep, hawks, turtles, rattle snakes, lizards, bog cats, and coyotes. This popular trail is great for e-bikes, walking, hiking, and running.

Magical Scenery on this Stunning Trail Route | Las Vegas, NV | Outer Limits & 701 Loop Trail
This episode marks the start of a new series here focused on the Best Trail Routes. On this trail route I traveled Sloan Canyon which is about 25 mins from the Las Vegas strip. Sloan Canyon is located in the McCullough Mountain Range which is technically in Henderson, NV. The entire trail route was a 15 mile loop with 1,715 ft of climbing. I'm riding a Luna Cycle X1 Enduro Electric Mountain Bike (EMTB). This entire ride took 2:45 minutes but that is with at least an hour stopping to film this video.
=TRAILS RIDDEN ON THIS ROUTE:=

=FOR VIDEO NERDS:= It's still been tough to film lately because of the constant high winds. I took a chance this day and went out with no expectations. Luckily, the wind in the canyon held long enough to capture this footage and the result was pretty awesome. For this video I did not enhance the colors for most of the footage except some of the iPhone footage. The colors are whatever the cameras provided in auto mode because I wanted you to truly see almost as I saw it. I still have 2 more videos, each with about 500 GB of footage already but I still need some more footage to finish both...

Nature's Beauty: Exploring the Majestic Dead Horse Loop Trail of Las Vegas | 4K UHD 60 FPS | EMTB
In this episode I ride the Dead Horse Loop trail in a 15 mile scenic route through the Cottonwood Valley, trail region of Nevada. This trail is about 30 minutes from the famous Las Vegas strip. The climb is long and mostly gradual, including some doubletrack to keep the excitement at bay at times. This is the kind of trail that grows on you the farther you get into it.
TIPS:
* The Dead Horse Loop Trail is not actually a loop in itself. You must combine other trails make a the loop. During the making of this video I took several different routes on the return which I have listed below.
Begin riding from Late Night Parking west through the 3rd tunnel to the south side of Hwy. 160 on doubletrack. Boring desert riding for the first couple miles but before you know you're riding through fun scenic terrain. A couple more short doubletrack sections (watch closely for the turns back to singletrack) and you are presented with Satan's Escalator....a series of switchbacks on a steep climb. Mortals walk most of Satan's Escalator but e-bikes don't have to. At the top take the Dead Horse Loop (SW) trail which will lead you to Wilson's Tank Overlook. This is where all the spectacular views of the Las Vegas strip are. Finally, follow the Dead Horse Loop Trail north towards a thrilling descent called 3 Mile Smile. At the top of 3 Mile Smile the Dead Horse Loop Trail ends, but lot's more fun awaits you. You can bomb down 3 Mile Smile almost the whole way back to the Late Night Trail head, or take the Techno Trail (Black Diamond) or take Badger Pass (Green).

=FOR VIDEO NERDS:= I started riding this trail back in October 2022 and it took 6 rides of this trail (10 hours of raw video) to make this 5 min video.

Spectacular MTB Bike Trail | JEM Trail | Hurricane, UT | 4K 60 FPS
The JEM Trail in Hurricane Valley, Utah is recommended for mountain bikers and hikers. It is a singletrack trail which is 6.7 miles in length. The trail consists of mostly smooth singletrack (with a few rocky sections thrown in to make it interesting). The Jem trail is known for its fast downhill riding. This trail is a classic. The first to be ridden in the area by early mountain biking pioneers, in the early 1990's and it has inspired the trail system that exists today.
SAFETY NOTE #1: This trail has a difficulty level of Green/Moderate/Easiest. However, at about 0.75 miles, there is one nasty steep downhill section that takes the trail from mesa top to wash bottom. Ride this section with care (good riders only). You’ll know when you get there as a fenceline rideover comes just before the drop off the mesa.
The trail then continues in the wash for a short bit before popping out back up to the surface. There are great views of the numerous surrounding mesas, the Virgin River, and the sandstone towers of Zion National Park.
SAFETY NOTE #2: One section of the JEM Trail is now one way. From the JEM Trailhead North to the intersection of Goosebumps Trail (1.41 miles) the direction of use is North (downhill). Riders returning to the Jem Trailhead will use the Dead Ringer trail.
If you have questions about this trail, please feel free to ask in the comments! Thanks for watching!

Beauty of Badger Pass Trail in Las Vegas, NV | Best Scenic Bike Trails in Las Vegas, NV
Enjoy the view of nearby cliffs & mountains and take in the sight of wide open landscapes along Badger Pass Trail. Easy to moderate bike ride of 3.5 miles. If you're looking for a mellow hike that will quickly reward you with beautiful desert views, head for the Badger Pass trail.
The ride begins from the popular Late Night Trailhead and heads under the highway and up a low pass toward the larger hills to the west of Vegas. The word "pass" in the name may make this bike ride sound more difficult than it actually is. In reality, this trail follows a mellow climb up sandy, gravelly singletrack with nary a difficulty to overcome. Even still, you'll soon gain some sweeping views of the desert outside of Vegas, and the beautiful mountains that flank the metro area. Biking an out-and-back on the Badger Pass trail is a popular endeavor that everyone, regardless of fitness, can enjoy!

Stunning Views Southwest Ridge | Best Scenic Trails Las Vegas, NV
In this short video we road multiple trails in the Southwest Ridge Trail Region of Las Vegas, Nevada. The Southwest Ridge trail region is 30 mins from the Las Vegas strip. Southwest Ridge rises directly above the southwest suburbs of the Las Vegas metro area. From the top of the ridge, you can see the entire metropolis spread out below you, and distinctly pick out specific casinos from the skyline of the Strip. But in addition to the impressive views of Las Vegas, Southwest Ridge offers some rad technical mountain biking! trails including green, blue and black. The singletrack here is quite exposed in places. Especially on top of the ridge, the trail tread is dramatically exposed above a series of vertical cliffs. This ride isn't for the faint of heart or short of skills.
