The COVID Planedemic was a Marketing Exercise
In this clip from Russell Brand's podcast, David Martin explains that the covid pandemic was just a planned marketing test to see how far people would let the government limit human and civil rights and as a means to normalize a new drug platform aimed at achieving universal vaccination. “Why Do You Do This Stuff?” - With Ken Eyring and Tom Murray Part 3/3
An interesting question even as we wrap up this series up with Part 3. Why DO activists do what they do - especially those whose "voluntary careers" span years if not decades. It's sometimes a thankless and vilified "job", especially if you are ruffling the feathers of those that wish to be left alone in the dusty and dim corners of Government. In fact, it was GraniteGrok's early mantra that said "We bring Big Flashlights" to those Dark Corners (too bad that the other founder decided to move towards those corners but flipping is oft seen - it is easy to get coerced by Power, influence, and money).
And that's what Ken and Tom, via the Government Integrity Project, have been doing, with elections and voting being a forte of theirs (oh, and budgetary sleight of hand). And you can tell that they enjoy it - sometimes, immensely. However, one should never take their jocular manners to mean that they shy away from a fight that must be done - those smiles are still there but the meaning behind those smiles change radically, if you catch my drift.
Anyways, the final install of this series - Part 3.
Perhaps I should do this more often with other activists? If you think so, throw out some names in the Comment section!

Groktoberfest Micro-Interview with Jeff Chidester
"What is the most important thing that GraniteGrok has brought to NH"?
So, at Groktober fest held last October, I quickly had a bit of time to do a few micro-interviews and certainly, asking our Master-of-Ceremonies Jeff Chidester just HAD to be one of them. As soon as he saw me stepping towards him, he knew he was nabbed! So it was easy to ask him the single question as well.
"What is the most important thing that GraniteGrok has brought to NH"?
And he politely gave a studied and measured response.
I am hoping that, over the next 18 years, we will continue to uphold those kind words. After all, who else is doing what we do? After all, many have tried in the past and we have outlasted them all (and some were very well financed, to boot); it shows what ordinary people can do when motivated to do so over the long haul.
Again, as a reminder, I announced my semi-retirement from GraniteGrok due to heightened needs of my family. And yes, again, I was surprised as the words came out of my mouth (surprising to me - I didn't even know I was going to do it!) from the 'Grok I had founded 18 years ago due to family issues that HAD to take priority. And in doing so, I turned over everything over to Steve knowing that it would be in the best of hands - I was not disappointed.
Sidenote: And that is the reason why I am taking this opportunity to ask you to donate to GraniteGrok. We are all volunteers, but with Steve's full-time job gone away, this is the opportunity to keep him and all the time he puts in with his wit, wisdom, and dry humor full-time in a paying position. We were lucky with his old job - nooks and crannies of time always showed up, and he spent it spinning up post after post. However, if he has to look for another full-time job, there's no guarantee that he'd have the same amount of time for you all to enjoy.
So now that things have calmed down, I can resume making a political PIA of myself to those that need it (yes, a warning). So I'm continuing to put up some of the "Groktober" videos and the interview I did with Ken Eyring and Tom Murray.

“Why Do You Do This Stuff?” - An Interview With Ken Eyring and Tom Murray - Part 2/3
To recap from Part 1: "It needs to be done by someone so why NOT us?". Yeah, that's a great summarization of this 3-Part interview with Ken Eyring and Tom Murray
GIP - the Government Integrity Project - was founded by Ken and Tom a number of years ago. Its mission, with their relentless (and sometimes, ruthless - heh!) is in being vigilant in finding out where Government is not playing with a straight deck with what it is supposed to do. And like with Windham, NH, finding out locals here in NH where such tomfoolery (and faux foppery in trying to do the "cover up waltz" to throw people off their scents). "Good ole' boys" networks, self-centered politicians, and unelected, unaccountable, and unassailable bureaucrats should be looking over their shoulders.
The strains from the TV show should be bouncing in your head right about now "Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do?". Yup, GIP knows what to do.
And, both have their own individual stories to tell - and they did!

“Why Do You Do This Stuff?” - An Interview With Ken Eyring and Tom Murray - Part 1/3
Ken and Tom founded the Government Integrity Project a number of years ago. Their mission, along with their supporters, is to find out where Government is not playing with a straight deck. We've all known about the "Good ole' boys" networks that can run small towns, the larger cities with their Tammany Hall political machines, and individuals (often drawing government-signed paychecks) not always believing that they are merely public servants but become enamored with the Power that Government can wield.
A few weeks ago, I was asked by Tom and Ken if I'd participate in an interview with another person for a documentary on Government Corruption that will be coming out somewhere down the road. Hey, while Ken often sends in submissions as a Grokster, both read GraniteGrok as regular readers so they know about the goings on here in NH. So of COURSE, I said yes and spent a few hours with them and their crew.
And when we had run out of time (the Library wanted their room back but certainly we didn't run out of things to talk about!), I turned the tables on them - I brought my camera out and had them sit together. I've split the 20 minute interview into 3 parts.
This is Part 1

Groktoberfest Micro-Interview with Carla Gericke
"What is the most important thing that GraniteGrok has brought to NH?"
Like with Jim Kofalt's, this video is also 7 months late. Better late than never? Thanks for being patient, Carla!
As you folks already know or remember, last October, we had our first Groktoberfest for Conservatarian (Conservative & Libertarian) activists to do what political folks do - yak, eat, shoot some guns ('natch - held at the Londonderry Fish and Game club), and listen to a few people tell us their stories...
...and yak, yak, and yak some more. Even though some view politics as rather boring and irrelevant, activists hold quite the opposite view. To the point that the "main events" fade into the background as the yakking just continues.
Again, at the event, I announced my semi-retirement from the 'Grok I had founded 18 years ago due to family issues that HAD to take priority. And in doing so, I turned over everything over to Steve knowing that it would be in the best of hands - I was not disappointed. Thus, my keyboard went silent until deciding that things had calmed down enough so that I could resume this hobby-obsession (much to the dismay of some, I bet).
So 7 months< I've finally found the time to process some videos and start putting them up on Rumble (Steve, during my absence, decided on Rumble instead of Youtube - I'm good with that even though I have to learn a whole new system).
Given that Groktoberfest was about GraniteGrok and the 18 years that we've been serving NH, the micro-interview question was:
"What was the reason all these folks returned, time after time after time, to read our opinions, hear about our political activism, and ride along with investigations we had done over the years?".
