I was gifted two hot hive last year, I do not use langstroth equipment so I figured out how to easily convert them onto my deep frames.

It was a math challenge getting 3 different types of hives frames to convert into one box. DONE. bees successfully moved to better bee homes.

Perfect way to spend a cool afternoon in Texas. Sadly I believe this colony had been sprayed with an insecticide, they died within 24 hours. Even if I had lost the queen, they wouldn't have all died immediately, I put a frame of brood and food in with them....... so the only logical answer is a neighbor freaked out and sprayed when the 90 year old owner of house was not up.

And if you’re looking up the mask mesh is against your face and you can get stung in your lip while on a ladder….. 🤣🤣😂

This is how I prep for almost every rescue. I plan for the most and sometimes get less… but that is better than not having what I need when I’m up to my elbows in honey and wax.
