Abraxas is a deity associated with Gnosticism generally, and with the Gnostic teacher Basilides in particular. Abraxas is a figure that also features prominently in Seven Sermons to the Dead, an enigmatic early text by psychiatrist Carl Jung. In this video, we explore Gnosticism, the figure of Abraxas, the Gnostic teacher Basilides, and the ways in which Gnosticism and the god (or demon) Abraxas figure into the ideas of C.G. Jung.

Seven Sermons to the Dead is a mysterious, visionary text. Carl Jung relies heavily on Gnostic terminology, exploring concepts like the god Abraxas, and the ancient concept of the pleroma. C.G. Jung authored this text early in his career, under what seemed to be strange spiritual influences. Abraxas, pleroma, God, and devil are reinterpreted in Jung's text, and given meanings quite different than the ancient Gnostic and orthodox Christians might have intended. This video explores each of these ideas in a humorous, entertaining way, simplifying the opaque, mysterious language and symbolism of Jung's work. Here's the story of why it was made, and what would be on the last broadcast in human history. Ted Turner was speaking quite literally. In fact, Turner created a piece of media in case of nuclear apocalypse. Called "The Doomsday Video," it remained in CNN's archives for decades, and was only publicly released a few years ago. It bore a heading that read, "TURNER DOOMSDAY VIDEO--HFR [hold for release] until end of the world confirmed." The video is a strange, haunting, and beautiful piece of lost media. It's a relic of the Cold War, but, given the geopolitical threats we're currently facing, it still speaks to us today.

In 2016, a video of an alleged human sacrifice went viral. The video is fake, but whoever created it wants you to think it's real. A human sacrifice is shocking enough, but the fact that it took place at CERN, and that the ritual was apparently performed by CERN employees, made the incident fodder for conspiracy theorists. This documentary is an odyssey through the strange world of science, black magic, and End Times prophecy. This documentary goes far beyond the strange ritual at CERN. While the belief that CERN may be opening a portal to Hell is unfounded, there were scientists interested in bringing about the reign of the antichrist. Take, for example, pioneering rocket scientist Jack Parsons. Parsons was a follower of Aleister Crowley, who was the founder of Thelema, and possibly the most famous occultist of the 20th century. Crowley believed that mankind had entered the "Aeon of Horus," and that a new religion, in which the spiritual is made one with the material, would rise to replace Christianity. The Tower of Babel has often been read as a warning about defying the divine order. What is Pizzagate? This documentary has the answers. I made it a long time ago, and am much more suspicious of official narratives now. However, it does give a good overview of the theory. The Pizzagate conspiracy theory first gained steam on 4chan and Reddit. Pizzagate made mainstream news when Edgar Welch, a seemingly ordinary citizen, walked into Comet Ping Pong, a pizza restaurant in Washington, D.C., and started shooting. Fortunately, nobody was injured, and Welch submitted to arrest. Pizzagate is fake news, but this isn't a debunking video -- there are plenty of those online. This is an examination of Pizzagate as American folklore. The Pizzagate conspiracy theory has all the elements of a great horror story. In this video, I examine: James Alefantis, restaurateur and Democratic Party supporter, whose former boyfriend, David Brock, is the founder of Media Matters for America. Pictures said to be from Alefantis's Instagram were posted across a great many conspiracy-friendly message boards on Reddit and 4chan. Many of these posts weren't Alefantis's at all, but fabrications. John Podesta, whose leaked emails were circulated online. Some of these emails contained so-called "evidence" of child sacrifice, satanism, and trafficking. Adrenochrome, the supposed substance that folks like Clinton, Podesta, and other elites extracted from the blood of their unwilling victims. The supposed plot for world domination that will ultimately lead to the extinction of the human species. Of course, many of these claims are false. However, the arrest and suicide (or murder) of Jeffrey Epstein has led many to ask questions about child trafficking among the rich and powerful. These questions haven't been adequately answered. Certainly, the more outlandish claims of the Pizzagate conspiracy are unfounded. But figures like Jeffrey Epstein and David Hamilton have led many to wonder if some very rich, very powerful folks have gotten away with diabolical behavior.

Russell Brand recently offered a thoughtful critique of proposed vaccine passports. Now, these passports are being rolled out all over the world. In this video, we examine China's social credit scoring system, and show how the coronavirus pandemic opened the door for further surveillance and government control. COVID-19 was a disaster, and a rapid response was necessary. But Russell Brand, among many others, offered legitimate concerns that vaccine passports could put civil liberties in jeopardy.

Facebook just changed its name to Meta. Should we be scared? The "metaverse," the new, augmented-reality world they're developing, presents new opportunities for censorship, monopoly, and surveillance. This is scary stuff, and could become a dystopian nightmare. Many were skeptical of Frances Haugen, the Facebook whistleblower. As you'll see, her call for increasing censorship could turn Facebook's new technology into a weapon for policing speech.
