Thrilling ASK Modded Eastern/Payne Traction Elevator - Tom S Gettys Center (Rock Hill, SC)
Welcome to Early Access! All videos this birthday week in relation to elevators will all be released a day early from original uploading times, EXCLUSIVELY ON MY RUMBLE AND ODYSEE CHANNELS!
Here is an old replacement Eastern Elevator put in around the 1960's with Payne Fixtures. Sadly it was given a pretty meh Slap On by ASK Elevators with Adam's Designer in the 1990's. To be fair, this is actually the first I've seen Designer in the field. Minus the Slap On, this is mostly original and offers a very thrilling ride. Through the vents, you can see the windows that brighten up the shaft from time to time. This is a very fun elevator to ride, minus the rough stops. It's an adrenaline rush of an elevator! Stay tuned for the restrooms here!
NOTE: They have since put a warning about photography here. This video and photos was taken BEFORE the policy went into effect.

AMAZING 1930s Gated Warner Traction Elevator - OP Jenkins Furniture (Knoxville, TN)
Welcome to Early Access! All videos this birthday week in relation to elevators will all be released a day early from original uploading times, EXCLUSIVELY ON MY RUMBLE AND ODYSEE CHANNELS!
Right here is something of a beauty, an original Warner Elevator! While I'm unsure if this is original or not, you cannot deny this is a really sweet elevator! While it is a bit beat up since this is also used to move furniture, it is still in pretty reasonable condition. This thing shocked me with how excellent this ran! Keep in mind, this is a single speed elevator and they tend to have very rough stops generally, but I barely felt anything when this stopped. It is quite smooth for an elevator with very frequent use and it runs like it was installed yesterday!
If you are in the area, you HAVE to check this out. The Employees are very friendly about photography, so don't worry about getting in trouble here unlike some other places.

Tasteful & Crappy Otis Elevonic 411M Modded Antique Otis Traction Elevator - Undisclosed Location
Welcome to Early Access! All videos this birthday week in relation to elevators will all be released a day early from original uploading times, EXCLUSIVELY ON MY RUMBLE AND ODYSEE CHANNELS!
Well, this is one of those elevators where it is both tasteful and utter dog shit at the same time. lol
For the tasteful side, this was once an old Otis Manual and there were nice enough to leave the Original Crank behind as a historic piece of the elevator, same with the overall cab design.
Now for the shit side, this should be obvious, the mod. I mean, how tf did this elevator get so abused?! THE DAMN LANTERN WAS TAKEN OUT! This isn't a Series 5/6 Egg Lantern for goodness sakes. The Panel itself is pretty beat up and so is the cab itself. While a neat find, this elevator deserved a far better fate than this...

This was very unexpected! I was expecting some modded crap, but we have an original Montgomery from 1962 with the White Buttons! It's not everyday that I see Montys this old, so I'm glad to have see this original! Runs very well, too.
FUN FACT: There is a 2 Floor Hydraulic here as well, but it's unfortunately in a restricted area of this building.

Custom Impulse! Nice Custom Dover Oildraulic Hydraulic Elevator - Wells Fargo Center (Rock Hill, SC)
Welcome to Early Access! All videos this birthday week in relation to elevators will all be released a day early from original uploading times, EXCLUSIVELY ON MY RUMBLE AND ODYSEE CHANNELS!
This might be the coolest Oildraulic Install I've ever seen! I kinda spoiled myself with this elevator online, but I'm glad I did.
We got a really cool customized Dover installed in the Mid-Late 1990's. The Call Stations (except the top floor) stretch out and also contain the lanterns on top. It has this really cool bronze finish to the panels and the entire elevator. And on the inside, we got Custom Impulse! This is a really awesome elevator that runs pretty well! I hope it doesn't get ruined at all from the "dMc oBsOlETe" garbage as this is a one of the kind!

Unique and Rough Vintage Otis Traction Elevators - DC E.H. Little Library (Davidson, NC)
These are some pretty neat Otis Lexan Tracts with Roto Dials. Unfortunately, the roto dials don't work on any floors. Even worse, they run very poorly with rough jolts and stops. The 2nd one in particular is really beaten up. These were probably a lot cooler back in the day.
This is the last video from this college. Every other elevator here was not worth filming/out of reach. All Bathrooms here sucked, with a majority of them being replacements or newer.

Here is a weird Impulse. The setup is kinda weird. It's a 2 door elevator with a large cab. The 1st floor has a normal Impulse Indicator and Lantern, but the 2nd floor has a Custom Lantern with the Bell. The Basement doesn't even have a lantern...

SUPER RARE Amtech Hydraulic Elevator - NC Arboretum Education Center (Asheville, NC)
So, finding an Amtech in NC was not on my bingo card...
What I thought was a US Install ended up being something different entirely. Safe to say this is the first Amtech Reliable elevator I have ever filmed! It's pretty much similar to United States (US) Elevators, in fact, the call buttons on the main floor is US, but with some slight changes. The Amtech Circle Buttons are flatter and have different fonts, but press in the same way as US Circle. The only thing that is really different are the Directional Lanterns. This is a really cool find altogether! This seems to be installed by Asheville Elevators.

Very Rare but Very Cheap Mowrey Hydraulic Elevator - Skyland Exchange Apartments (Asheville, NC)
Here is my first Mowrey Elevator. This is a Mowrey install from 2019. A lot more buildings here at this complex have more of these, but due to the high towing risk, this is the only one I bothered with. Mowrey Elevators in NC are very rare to come by. However, they are not known for their quality as these are pretty cheap. To the shock of no one, this elevator does not run the best. The buttons, while cheap, are interesting for a first time. They feel and press like Dewhurst US91, but are apparently SEES PBR buttons.

Pristine Thyssenkrupp Endura Hydraulic Elevator - The Aventine (Arden, NC)

I don't often see Enduras with ORIGINAL Signa4 fixtures (I have seen a plethora of Enduras with MAD Atoll/Signa4 Combos though), so this was a treat. Unique Otis Elevonic 411M? Modded Otis Traction Elevators - Independence Tower (Charlotte, NC)
This is one of the coolest finds of the January day trip!
We got some former Otis's that were modded by Otis in the Mid 1990's. The buttons are a mix of Series 1 COP's and Regency Call Stations. The 1st Floor Lanterns were also changed. But besides some fixtures and the controllers being changed, these are still somewhat original feeling. All the other floors have the original Otis Arrow Lanterns, some with working bells (as heard in the intro)! These are thrilling to ride, but have very rough and abrupt stops. They also tend to be temperamental and are always on the move as well, which are really my only complaints with these. It would be nice to see these fully original, but these are still really cool!

Custom Schindler TXPress Modded Westinghouse Traction Elevators - Metroview Building (Charlotte, NC)
While it's another case of more modded Westys, this mod is one of a kind.
It was (of course) modded by Schindler, but they ended up using PTL Fixtures. This mod uses PTL's Metropolis Global series, which is more of an old school panel design (it's also funny because both the series name and the building name start with Metro, coincidence?). The buttons are just a mix of PTL Performer (which generally isn't offered with this series) and EPCO Bar Buttons. These don't run too well, but the mod is definitely unique for a Schindler mod.
