Pearl’s project is getting back on the making and the first part in the head stock gear box is the second in line shaft we found to be messed up. I hand grind the radius needed on the teeth of the cutter, make a spacer to hold the cutter apart to form the teeth I’m cutting on the spine. I had lost the audio on three clips as I set up the bar and take the first couple cuts, but found the audio in the background in other location, so I recorded it to dub in, not a total lost… Made in China is a warning! WAZER Reaches New Altitudes Building my machining career in the shipyards, totally prepared my skill level to take on this aircraft engine mount project! LOL, it’s more like the WAZER pulled me through another quick and clean project with little machining needed. Yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks and I’m a good example of just that, even if time had past between the original build and the reprograming of my FENNERIZE X-Carve machine. Sure, I have been a conventional machinist/ Jobber most of my career and then dabbled in CNC machines, first the PlasmaCAM then 3D printer, then the X-Carve machine, so found myself wanting and building my own CNC machine. I had some but very little CNC experience in a few businesses that I worked for in my career, but I really count that as zero, just because it was just not anymore than being a machine babysitter. Now I have ventured into my second 3D printing machine and looking into the additive business with real useable materials that pertain to my Job Shop USA.

Sometimes the projects you have to set up in the lathe have a lot of sticking out and sometimes you can’t support the load and you have to let it hang out there to do the work. How broke is too broke 2 , I finally considered the project at hand an example of deciding when too broke is the final conclusion. How broke is too broke , I finally considered the project at hand an example of deciding when too broke is the final conclusion. I ran into two machining failures during this episode. Phase converters are a blessing when you need them, just to be able to run your machines that need it and when you can feed your shop with real 3 Phase from the pole, you really get the quiet snappy current without a secondary motor running in the background. There are a few other perks as well like slightly lower energy bills and more floor space or wall space, not to mention less noise distractions for my viewers during my videos. “Made in China” is a warning label….
