Asslamoalaikum, sisters, brothers, friends and elders, we are discribing about Ramadan hadiths on fasting

Islam has five pillars that make the base and essence of the religion. Fasting in Ramadan is among these five pillars of Islam. Hence, one should never skip the fasts of Ramadan unless they fall under the category of people who can not fast on Ramadan.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Islam is based on Five Principles and to observe Fast (according to Islamic Teachings) during the month of Ramadan is one of them”.

– Sahih Bukhari: 8

Abu Huraira tells a hadith on reward of fasting that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. Whoever prays during the nights in Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. And he who passes Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven”.

– Bukhari, Muslim
Ramadan hadith on reciting dua

Dua and namaz are an indispensable part of Ramadan. Muslims looking to seek blessings and forgiveness from Allah should recite dua and offer namaz during the month of Ramadan.

“There are three whose supplication is not rejected: The fasting person when he breaks his fast, the just leader, and the supplication of the oppressed person”.

– Tirmidhi: 3598
Ramadan hadiths on Laylatul Qadr

Laylatul Qadr, or the Night of power, is the sacred night on which the holy book of the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by the angel Jibril. The night has immense significance and falls on any odd night of the last ten days of Ramadan. The night is mainly utilized for its merits and for reciting the Quran.

“Whoever spends the night of Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven”.

– Nasai: 5027

“Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan”.

– Sahih Bukhari: 2017
Death in Ramadan hadith

As per a hadith about death in Ramadan, Abu Huraira narrated that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“When the month of Ramadan begins, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hellfire are closed and the devils are chained. “

– Al Bukhari 1800, Sahih Muslim 1079
Hadith on charity in Ramadan

“Ramadan is an honorable and blessed month, and the rewards for generosity are multiplied in it.”
Ramadan hadith on Shawwal Fasting

Shawwal is the month that follows Ramadan. It is the month in which people celebrates Eid with festivities and feasts all around. Fasting on the six days of Shawwal consecutively with Ramadan fasting after Eid multiplies the rewards.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Whoever fasts Ramadan, then follows it with six from Shawwal, then that is (equal in reward) to fasting every day”.

– Tirmidhi: 759

Hadiths are a trustworthy source of religious teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Hence, Ramadan hadiths help a person learn and understand Islam in a much better and more spiritual way.

We pray to Allah amighty to give us permission to read, understand and follow hadith nabvi, Ameen Allah hafiz
