Martyring a Hamas leader shows how desperate Israel is for a 'win'.

With global opinion turning against his regime, Netanyahu is desperate for a win, so did Israel assassinate a Hamas leader to get one?
Right, so things have escalated horribly between Israel and Hamas, with the assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri in Southern Beirut in Lebanon. Al-Arouri was the de facto Number Two of Hamas and despite Israel denying having conducted the assassination, I really don’t know who believes that, pro-Israelis or Pro-Palestinians alike. The narrative of this conflict has turned against Israel and turned against Benjamin Netanyahu and his rancid far right coalition government, that he’s become so desperate for some kind of a win, that he was willing to take a shot at a Hamas leader who wasn’t even in Gaza, but was in another nation, Lebanon and was emboldened enough to think he can do that without repercussions. Lebanon is a sovereign state, not occupied territory like Gaza is, so if Lebanon as a hypothetical example now decide to send a missile into Tel Aviv in retaliation, that’ll be Lebanon exercising it’s right to defend itself yes? After all, the Western world has been saying for 11 weeks that razing Gaza to the ground is Israel’s right to defend itself after October 7th. As for Hamas, well any talk of peace settling matters now has probably just died with Al-Arouri and Israel has likely just invited further atrocity on it’s own people. If Israel did this, as seems almost certainly likely, then those who have consistently sided with them since the events of October 7th need to wake the hell up and realise Israel and most of all their government aren’t defending themselves, they’re driving this.
Right, so Israel has a right to defend itself we’ve been told for weeks in the wake of the October 7th attack by Hamas, so please explain to me, how them almost certainly being the perpetrators behind a surgical strike in Southern Lebanon last night is them defending themselves? Oh, but they took out this big bad Hamas bloke and they are fighting Hamas after all who started this, some of the less quick amongst those watching this videos might be thinking. So it’s OK for Israel to shoot missiles at neighbouring sovereign states to do that then? That’s still Israel defending itself is it? As I said in my intro though, if Lebanon choose to retaliate by doing likewise and firing into Israel in return now, who’s going to say Lebanon don’t have the right to defend themselves? Oh but I forget myself, this is a ‘Hezbollah run’ neighbourhood that got hit according to some in the media as if that makes it alright and clearly is implying, after days and days of them reporting on the actions of ‘Iran backed’ Houthi’s in the Red Sea that they either believe or they know, it was Israel that did this too.
I can almost guarantee that when this all comes out as being proven to have been Israel, I’ll eat my shoe frankly if it isn’t, it’ll be made all about Hezbollah and Hamas and Israel being entitled to do this. If this guy was living in Leicester Square and Israel bombed that, you’d be singing a different tune though wouldn’t you? It’s exactly the same. Sovereign state territory is sovereign state territory.
