Ezharakund waterfalls in Kudianmala, Kannur is another emerging tourist destination maintained by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC). Its close to the Kerala-Karnataka border. Ezharakundu is a group of seven waterfalls and the name literally translates to seven and a half pits in malayalam. The lush green plains, meandering rivers and the gushing waterfalls make it one of the tourist hotspots in North Kerala.

The waterfall comprises of seven levels of rocky natural pools of various sizes and depths. On certain points there are guards to ensure safety. There is a trek of around 1.2 KM from the base to reach the main waterfall. Tourism department has constructed a pedestrian path from the base (Ticket counter) to the main waterfalls. You can reach the base in vehicle and then trek upwards. There are places where bathing is allowed on the way upwards.

There is an entrance fee of ₹100. Helmets and life jackets will be provided for safety. People with difficulty in trekking upwards can reach the top by road as well. Bathroom, changing rooms and parking facilities are available.
