কৃষ্ণ মঠ তার ধর্মীয় রীতিনীতি, ঐতিহ্য এবং দ্বৈত বা তত্ত্ববাদ দর্শনের জন্য সারা বিশ্বে পরিচিত। এটি দাসা সাহিত্যের কেন্দ্রও, সাহিত্যের একটি রূপ যা উদুপিতে উদ্ভূত হয়েছিল।

***Udupi is considered as the final resting place of Lord Krishna. Sri Krishna Temple and matha was set up in the 13th century by Madhvacharya. Legend has it that once Kanakadasa, a worshipper of Lord Krishna was denied entrance into the temple.

The Krishna Matha is known throughout the world for its religious customs, traditions and tenets of Dvaita or Tatvavada philosophy. It is also the center of Daasa Saahitya, a form of literature that originated in Udupi.

Udupi Krishna Temple darshan is free for all devotees, though if you wish to do an online puja booking, you can do so from their official website. The Mangalore International Airport is about 59 kilometre from the Udupi Krishna Temple while the Udupi Railway Station is about 4 kilometre away from the temple site.
