NOTE ON THE 9-24-23 CLASS
The 9-24-23 class is part of a series with the 9-10-23 and 9-17-23 classes and depends on those classes. If you have not watched those two classes, watch them first and then come back to this one. Those were two of the best classes so far, so if this is your first look at my classes, they will give you a sense of whether these classes will be appealing to you.

CORRECTIONS TO MY STATEMENTS AT THE 9-24-23 CLASS
>> At 9:17 – 9:21 "I have new challenges" should have been "I have no new challenges."
>> The quote from the Dhammapada is from Chapter VIII, verses 4-6, which is verses 103-105 of the book.
>> At 54:08 to 54:24 I said "It can be read by Jesus as a description of the evolution of Israelite religion." Obviously what I meant was "It can be read as a description by Jesus of the evolution of Israelite religion."
>> At 58:46 to 58:55 "that concept of human sacrifice" should have been "Jesus' concept that all sacrifice is always wrong was replaced with the belief in a once-for-all human sacrifice."
>> From 1:08:00 to 1:08:22 Bill and I were discussing different ways of understanding the Parable of the Wheat and Tares. At 1:08:05 I said "I think the other ways of looking at it are helpful." From 1:08:15 I said "I think all four ways are ...." I was referring only to the four explanations that I offered, and NOT to Matthew's explanation. The four explanations that I offered were 1) removing the tares from one's own mind, 2) mankind over the course of history collectively removing the tares from all of our minds, 3) a parable of the development of Israelite religion, and 4) a prophecy of the development of Christian religion. Matthew's explanation is the consignment by Jesus of evil people to "the furnace of fire" (13:42) at "the end of the age" (13:39, 40).
