If you are of an older generation such as myself, the words "Make it a Blockbuster Night" have a special meaning. It meant you were going to get a movie or game to spend time with friends or family and have a great time. I know I spent many a Friday or Saturday in our local Blockbuster checking out the latest NES, SNES, Genesis, or other video games.

Retro Fighters is tapping into that nostalgia and introducing their Retro Limited Series of products. Their first definitely is something very cool, very retro, and speaks to my generation. It is the Retro Limited Series of Blockbuster VHS Cassette Tapes, but they're scaled down and designed to store and transport your Nintendo Switch cartridges. Let's take a look:

Initial Thoughts:
When Retro Fighters first sent me the images and video for this, I was blown away. I already have and love their Retro 85 case, designed to look like an NES Cartridge which stored smaller NES Cartridges and then in turn held Nintendo Switch Game Cartridges. This has that same sort of appeal but turns it on its ear slightly by replicating the look and feel of a VHS tape, but slightly smaller. I love the fact that they got all the scale details right, from the tape, the spindles the drive motors key into, the spine with "Movie Rental, VHS Cassette", the labels on the tape itself, it all is just, man, chef's kiss awesome.

At only $19.99, the Blockbuster Mini VHS Cassette Switch Game Case looks to be a must-have for anyone old enough to remember going to Blockbuster. The limited-release nature of this makes this something truly special because once they're gone, they're gone. As I stated, I was probably going to pre-order a couple of these, and I just completed the order, putting my money where my mouth is. I think this is super cool and cannot wait to get my hands on them.
