However, he was granted the boon of being able to visit his subjects once a year, which is celebrated as Onam in Kerala, India.

Vyasa: Vyasa, also known as Veda Vyasa or Krishna Dvaipayana Vyasa, is one of the central figures in Hindu mythology. He is credited with composing the Mahabharata, as well as compiling and arranging the Vedas. Vyasa is considered immortal due to his divine contributions to knowledge and scripture.
