Join us as we explore Surabaya’s vibrant, family-friendly Kodam Night Market. After a long travel day, the kids were ready to relax and enjoy this night market’s activities. There were carnival rides, competitive games, and interactive activities. This bustling market definitely comes alive at night and seems to be the place where many people congregate. While the kids enjoyed rows and rows of carnival games, we went in search of food!

The food vendors at the Kodam Night Market offer an enticing selection of local and international cuisine. We tried so much food: potato swirls, mochi, Japanese pancakes, satay, durian shake, fire-roasted cumi (squid), and mozzarella cheese on a stick. Then, just as we were wrapping up the night, the kids decided they needed to go on a soccer jersey hunt. We had such a great time exploring this night market.
