I have observed over the years that Satan loves to seduce mankind with pride in one's own ability to make things right. It is directly connected to self-righteousness and seeking enlightenment through works. Read Jude 1:11. Cain wouldn't have anything to do with a bloody sacrifice but was content in his "own" pious religious act of bringing beautiful fruit to the altar. That bloody disgusting slaughtered innocent lamb on the altar is repulsive to Cain, he tells God that his beautiful clean fruit and vegetables are a better sacrifice and more pleasing. The great irony here is that Jordan Peterson has found his own religion his own vain imagination which is enmity against God, his vain philosophical religious and pious acts of holy yet denying the power of God the cross of Jesus Christ..

I am increasingly aware of how most Christians who believe that the "great commission" is for us today, and many who don't but are attending apostate 501(c)3 buildings, are consumed, immersed in running to doctors and worrying about whether they have insurance, etc, etc.... Praying for healing, meanwhile taking handfuls of pharma drugs, and/or handfuls of supplements, trying to preserve the dying flesh. Even declaring that it's the devil robbing them of life and health, rather than having peace and contentment, knowing that the flesh cannot be saved, but as Christians we have the hope of the resurrection... There's a balance between keeping our focus on feeding the inner man and simply being sensible about caring for the flesh.
