Here's a recipe for a high-protein egg sandwich:
Ingredients:
2 large eggs
2 slices of whole wheat bread
1 slice of cheese (optional)
2 slices of turkey bacon (optional)
Salt and pepper
Cooking spray
Instructions:
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray.
Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny (or cook to your preference).
While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread and cook the turkey bacon (if using) in another skillet.
If using cheese, place the slice on one of the pieces of toast to allow it to melt.
Assemble the sandwich: Place the cooked eggs on top of the cheese (if using) on the toasted bread. Add the turkey bacon (if using), and season with salt and pepper to taste.
