The arrogant presumption of acclimation is a dangerous blind spot for many leaders. When people migrate, are forced to relocate or find themselves the unwitting participants of common gentrification, they often carry with them the culture from their origin. A leader’s expectations should be tempered by this reality. This means the leader must be familiar with the many influencing cultures they lead.
