apocalypse 1

Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his servants the things which must shortly come to pass; and by his angel he sent them, and reported them to John his servant;
Who testified of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all that he had seen.
Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things which are written therein; because the time is near.
John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come, and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him who loved us and washed us from our sins in his blood,
And he made us kings and priests to God and his Father; to him glory and power for ever and ever. Amen.
Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Yup. Amen.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
I John, who am also your brother, and fellow in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,
Which said: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last; and what you see, write it in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
And I turned to see who was talking to me. And turning around, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like the Son of Man, dressed in a long garment down to the feet, and girt about his breasts with a golden girdle.
And his head and hair were white as white wool, as snow, and his eyes as a flame of fire;
And his feet like shining brass, as if they had been refined in a furnace, and his voice like the voice of many waters.
And he had seven stars in his right hand; and out of his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and his face was like the sun, when it shines in its strength.
And I, when I saw him, fell at his feet as if dead; and he laid his right hand upon me, saying to me, Fear not; I am the first and the last;
It is what I live and was dead, but behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of death and hell.
Write down the things that you have seen, and those that are, and those that will come to pass after these;
The mystery of the seven stars, which you saw in my right hand, and of the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks, which you saw, are the seven churches.
