In this episode, we share what 10 Epic NES Games we would purchase again in the event that we'd need to sell our collection.

Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans. There are times in life when you may need to part with some or all of a collection to pay major life bills. Whether it's medical bills, home repairs, or other issues, selling a collection can be a way to cover part of serious life issues. But, if the unthinkable happened and we were forced to sell our collection, what 10 Epic NES Games would I buy to start my gaming collection back up?

My video is a little bit different than Jays and so much that if I could play a game through a current generation system, Xbox GamePass, PlayStation+, or the Nintendo eShop I would not purchase those games first on original hardware. If I had to sell my games due to financial hardship, playing in a less expensive fashion would definitely be up my alley. That means Super Mario bros, Zelda, Metroid, DuckTales, Mega Man, these games are all eliminated from consideration. With those heavy hitters out of the way, what would I pick up?

Adventure Island 2: The first game is such an amazing classic and I love so much. But it's available on GameCube! Sure, not a current platform but something that was remastered. As such, I'm going with adventure Island too which maintains all of the amazing gameplay and adds in a whole lot more fun.

Devil World: originally developed by Shigeru Miyamoto, Devil World was somewhat of a Pac-Man clone. Designed for the Famicom and never released in the US, this is actually a fairly inexpensive game, you'll just need to pick up a 60-to-72 pin adapter to play it on a US Nintendo Entertainment System.

Goonies 2: The Goonies is one of my favorite '80s movies, but for some reason, I have never played my copy of Goonies 2. There is actually a Goonies 1 on the Nintendo Famicom, also a game I have not played.

Tiny Toon Adventures: They're tiny, they're toony, they're all a little loony, and the tiny Toon Adventures game for the NES is inexpensive fun. The soundtrack is here, many of your favorite characters from Acme University are here, and overall it is one of my favorite inexpensive NES games.

Gremlins 2: Much like the Goonies, I haven't really played Gremlins 2 a whole lot. I remember seeing it and wanting to play it back in the day, but just never got around to it. This game has gone up in price in recent years, but it is still worth it.

Metal Storm: The original Metal Storm is extremely expensive now, and I have to admit the Retro-bit re-release is climbing in price as well. This is a tremendously fun yet challenging run & gun that absolutely is worth every penny, unlike other expensive games for the NES that are expensive but not very good.

Gyruss: A lot of shooters are now available on other platforms, but Gyruss is one of those that has never advanced beyond the NES. The music on this game is what really makes it for me, it sounds so good. The play control is tight, it's challenging, and it is a unique take similar to Tempest 2000.

Yo, Noid!: Back in the '80s, Domino's Pizza may have wanted you to avoid the Noid, but on the NES, this is one of the best platformers you can pick up. It is Capcom at its finest with challenging but fun levels, great enemies, and terrific music.

Ivan the iron Man Stewart's Super Off-Road: Man I love the arcade version of this game and love the NES version so much as well. This is a great game to play with friends, a party game before party games were really such a thing. The NES title holds up surprisingly well and is still amazingly fun to play.

Samurai Pizza Cats: Stick with me here, they're cats.. that are also samurai... and they like pizza! Wild, I know, so much weirder than turtles that are adolescents who think they're ninjas and like pizza, am I right? When I bought this at the MoGameCon Adrain, the owner of our local store, well he shouted the name after his eyes got super big. Yeah, this is a classic and a must-own for me.

Honorable Mention:
Mighty Final Fight: okay, Jay got me on a technicality that this is available on his GBA, but it is still an amazing game. Much like Devil World, picking up the Famicom version is a lot less expensive. If you are into side-scrolling beat them UPS, Mighty Final Fight is one of the most amazing games in the genre. And today it plays as well as it ever has.

These are just my pics, what are the 10 games that you would rebuild your collection with. By and large, most of these games are fairly inexpensive, but some are out there in price again. Make sure you check out Jay at Square Pegs and his top 10 videos that he would restart his collection with
