The variety of qualities and aspects of Shiva are represented and reflected in many of his names. For example, in "Shiva Purana" there numbered 108 names, in the ancient epic "Mahabharata" there are a few lists with thousands of names of Shiva.
He is often called Mahadeva - «Great God," "God of Gods" Mrityunjaya - «The one who defeats death," Ishvara - «Lord," "Possessing glory inherent in the Divine", as well as one of the names of Shiva - Shambhu and Shambho, meaning "Magnanimous", "The Cloister of happiness" or "Brining happiness." Rare and favorable aspect of Shiva.

If you utter them with the right sense of intensity at the right moment in your life, they can shatter all your limitations. “Shiva” and “Shambho” are two such keys. From the solid person that you are, they are meant to open you up to a new dimension. Just make it your life-breath, make the sound constantly “on” within you. If one moment of vulnerability comes, the sound will crack you open. Absolutely new things will happen.
