Lakers highlights from last season shed light on the need for more toughness on the roster, and a Lakers trade for Patrick Beverley could fix the problem some based on his time last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves:
- 9.2 PPG, 4.6 APG, 1.2 SPG, 34.3 3P%

Level of interest in Patrick Beverley? Scale it from 1-10

The Los Angeles Lakers Roster outside of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook is looking thin as the season approaches, hence the Lakers rumors on Carmelo Anthony:
- Austin Reaves (G/F)
- Kendrick Nunn (G)
- Lonnie Walker IV (G)
- Thomas Bryant (C)
- Damian Jones (C)
- Talen Horton-Tucker (G/F)
- Stanley Johnson (F)
- Troy Brown Jr. (F)
- Juan Toscano-Anderson (F)
- Wenyen Gabriel (F/C)

LeBron James rumors round out today’s show, as ESPN reporter Tim Bontemps suggests there is a path for the Lakers involving a LeBron James extension AND the flexibility to add to the roster:
- If he signs a max extension this summer, the Lakers are stuck in the exact same situation they are now and they are going to be in that situation forward because they have no other contracts on the roster to trade. They have no other way to create salary to go get other players on their roster. If I am LeBron and the Lakers and I am working together for the best path forward, that to me is the only best path forward, is to wait till next summer, opt out, give the Lakers the flexibility at around him, and then fill in a number late on. Just exactly what the Sixers did which allowed them to get PJ Tucker and Danuel House this summer.
