Maya Millette, 39 years old has been missing for over 4 months, and her loved ones are becoming frantic in the search for her as time continues to pass in her disappearance.
The 39-year-old mother was last seen at her Chula Vista home in San Diego, California , by family on THURSDAY, January 7 2021, at around 5pm.

She was last seen in her home -- presumably by her husband Larry Millette. He told authorities he believed Maya took off to get some alone time. But her loved ones say this doesn't make sense for one very important reason: Her daughter's 11th birthday was just a few days after Maya disappeared .
Maricris Drouaillet, the oldest of Maya’s siblings- said their large family were planning to take a trip up to the mountains to go snowboarding for Maya's daughter's 11th birthday before Maya disappeared. Maya would have sent a message to their group chat if the trip would be cancelled or changed. She wouldn’t be the kind of person or mother to just not show up, especially since she was the one who organised the trip.
Maya worked in early 2020 as a civilian contract specialist for the Navy’s Southwest Regional Maintenance Center .In June of 2020, she transferred to the Naval Information Warfare Center , where she also worked as a contract specialist.

Maya, who has been missing since January, had been arguing with her husband during a family trip camping in the desert just days before her disappearance.
Maricris Drouaillet, Maya’s sister, and her husband, Richard, said that Larry and Maya were arguing over a Jeep Wrangler they brought with them on the family camping trip to the Glamis Sand Dunes in California over the New Year holiday.
For a year or two, Maya and Larry had a rocky relationship, they even tried marriage counselling.
Whenever the family would have a get together, Larry and Maya would be there arguing... and then another time, they would be close again. It’s been on and off with the couple for the last year or so.
MAricirs’ husband, Richard said 'They argued a lot and it was a little bit uncomfortable. It was weird because Larry was acting different. He wasn't acting like Larry. He was acting different... They were done. The relationship was done. You could just tell.'
Richard describes Larry as 'always quiet' on the trips, typically staying near the camp or with his car 'in his own business.'
'He was always quiet but on this last trip he was having fun and he was having a lot of fun but with her vehicle,' Richard stated.
'During the day, he wasn't really at the camp. He was always driving around and then he would come and ask her a question and then they would argue. Not argue in front of the family but you could tell that there was no communication between them. No positive communication between them.'

Larry was having more fun with the Jeep Wrangler than Maya did, considering it was her car, which her mother bought for her. He wanted to take the Jeep and drive it and Maya wanted the same thing, so arguments would start over that. They didn’t even want to ride together. To Richard and Maricris it seemed clear Maya just wanted to get out of the relationship.
