In today's episode, which is leading off our newest food plot and deer management line for the 2022 deer season, we'll take a look at the complete picture of a late season deer strategy move that I did here on our Southern Illinois farm, which consisted of A) Gathering big buck intel on our farm, B) After assessing the food plot intel, moving a deer tower to a new location mid season (Dec 08, 2021), and then C) the follow up evidence AFTER the deer tower move to see how things worked out! This particular food plot and deer scrape is located in the very center of our Southern Illinois hunting land. This fall food plot for deer was planted VERY late in the season because the first time I planted it, we had a drought that basically suffocated it. So, I decided to re plant it late in the fall with a 4 grain cereal grain mix as well as a brassica mix. While the brassica's did not do very well, the 4 grain fall cereal mix did well and continued to grow throughout the season and into the new year.
