Aaron Rodgers Trade Rumors: Top 11 Destinations For The Green Bay Packers QB
Aaron Rodgers trade rumors have heated up throughout the 2022 NFL season as the Green Bay Packers and Rodgers have been disappointing. Could Rodgers be traded in the 2023 NFL offseason to a team looking to contend for the Super Bowl? CBS Sports named 11 Aaron Rodgers destinations if he doesn’t play for the Packers in 2022 so NFL Daily host Tom Downey reacts to the rankings and points out some good and bad with them.

Aaron Rodgers trade destinations according to CBS Sports:

#10: Atlanta Falcons
#9: Washington Commanders
#8: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
#7: New England Patriots
#6: New York Giants
#5: Las Vegas Raiders
#4: Tennessee Titans
#3: Seattle Seahawks
#2: New York Jets
#1: San Francisco 49ers
What team will Aaron Rodgers play for next year?
Aaron Rodgers’ contract is a rather complicated one. His 2023 cap hit if traded is under $16 MM, but only if a $58.3 MM option for 2025 is picked up. If that option is declined, Rodgers’ cap hit swells to almost $60 MM because that 2025 option converts to money owed this year. So it’s cheap for 2023 if a team trades for Rodgers, but it would be a multi-year commitment. Here’s the year-by-year breakdown:
- 2023 Cap Hit: $15.79 MM
- 2023 Option Bonus (2025): $58.3 MM
- 2024 Cap Hit: $32.50 MM
- 2024 Option (2026): $47 MM
- 2024 Option GTD in early 2024
