Climate Fanatic Goes Too Far
Back in my policing days during my time in the police academy, they taught us that as a police officer, your life is most important, then your partner’s, then members of the public. That’s not being cruel or mean. This makes perfect sense in that if you are incapacitated or killed, then you’re of no use to anybody. Obviously, you can’t help somebody if you’re dead.
Two years ago, Gregory Andrews was the High Commissioner to West Africa, where he was responsible for promoting Australia's oil and gas projects. Now he is a climate activist on the lawns of Parliament House, 15 days into a hunger strike protesting the lack of government action on climate change. For the last two weeks or so, he has only consumed water with some salt.
The reason for his protest, in his own words, “Climate change is no longer a future emergency. The science shows there's no more time left. The world is entering climate collapse and Australia needs to act.” He basically is demanding that the Australian Government ceases subsidising fossil fuels, and commits to phasing out coal and gas exports, among other things.
In response to how his body handling it, he said, “My body is starting to deteriorate. I have a tight chest and my breathing is laboured. My brain isn't as good as it usually is. And for some reason my arms and legs are aching.” Despite this, he said he is planning to continue until at least December 13th, another 27 days away, to align with the UN’s COP 28 climate talks in Dubai. If he goes another 27 days, he will be dead. This is not an act of dissent. This is an act of fanaticism. And that brings me back to my police analogy. If as a police officer, you die, then you can’t help or save anybody. It’s of utmost importance that you stay alive. What does Mr Andrews hope to achieve in his death? He has to be pragmatic here. If his goal is to save the planet, he can’t do that if he’s dead.
Some might argue that his death would bring awareness to the “climate emergency”, but isn’t everyone already fully aware of this? I mean, regardless of whether you agree or disagree, aren’t we all aware already?
Secondly, again from a pragmatic standpoint, does he honestly believe that the Government will change its actions because of his hunger strike? I know what the Government’s line is on this. They will not negotiate with individuals. They will correctly point out that Australia is a representative democracy where decisions are made by Members and Senators in Parliament. If the Government capitulate, if the Government give in to his demands, well we all know the result. Every other fanatic in the country will pitch a tent on the lawns of Parliament House and go on hunger strikes for a whole host of other things. Make meat illegal! Ban cars! Free houses for everyone! No, the Government are simply not going to give in to his demands. Either Mr Andrews gives up, or he dies. I don’t want that, but if he keeps going, that’s what’s going to happen.
The saddest thing of all this is that Mr Andrews has two dependent children and a wife. If he dies because of this hunger strike, he has just created a widow, he has just left two children fatherless, and he has not made a lick of difference to the climate. Is it really worth it?

Should Immigrants Adopt the Practices of Australia?
Earlier this month, former Australian Prime Minister John Howard spoke at the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship, the ARC forum, a new conservative conference in London. He commented on Australian multiculturalism stating that immigrants should adopt the values and practices of their host country. To me, that sounds fairly reasonable, as a person who’s lived overseas and had to adapt to Asian customs and so on, but of course, many commentators took offence to Mr Howard’s comments, and treated them as very controversial. Australian journalist Joe Hildebrand, for example, stated that Mr Howard is wrong.
Joe basically argues that Australia doesn’t have a single set of values as Mr Howard seems to indicate, so it is impossible for immigrants to adapt to that fiction. I somewhat agree with Joe on this, however, the same argument could be applied to any country. I lived in China. It’s a huge country with many different cultures and customs. However, wherever you go, they still identify as Chinese (well, mostly). They find some sort of unity in their diversity. Just because they have many different customs and practices, depending on where you go, doesn’t mean I didn’t have to adapt to their ways. Of course I did! It’s the same in Australia.
Every other country would expect us to adapt to their ways, even very multicultural countries like the United States. Tipping, for example, is very common in the US. Should we not tip because the US doesn’t have a single set of values and practices? Of course not! You should try to fit in as much as possible. That’s what brings peace and harmony. If I move to Saudi Arabia, of course, I’m going to try to fit in and respect their practices and customs such as not drinking alcohol, or dressing modestly. If I don’t want to do that, of if I’m not willing to do that, well, I don’t have to go to Saudi Arabia, do I? The same with Australia. If people don’t like our freedoms and tolerance towards others, and so on, well they don’t have to come here. Nobody’s forcing anybody. However, based on recent record immigration figures, many people do want to come here, so there’s something they see in Australia. There’s something they like about us, so I think it’s our right to have some sort of expectation that people behave appropriately here following our values and practices.
And despite what Joe says, we do have common practices, for example, queuing, lining up. More and more of us might be needing to line up at Centrelink of late, but you don’t push in in Australia. Although in other countries, that does happen, and has happened to me. Our right to protest. We don’t always agree in Australia, so we accept that sometimes our citizens must protest, even if it’s something that we don’t personally support. You certainly don’t have that freedom in many countries. Respecting people’s religion without intimidation or threats of violence. That certainly doesn’t happen in every country. So there are some things that we all hold dear here in Australia, and I think as John Howard said, we should expect people who come here to abide by those practices. I don’t think that’s controversial, and it’s true of every country. If you don’t like a particular cultural practice of a particular country, you’re free not to go there.
And other people agree with me. Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs, tweeted a statement in response to the recent antisemitism in Australia. She wrote, “There is no place for violence, no place for antisemitism and no place for Islamophobia in Australia. People come to Australia because they want to live in a country that is peaceful, tolerant and respectful. We all must protect that.” So even our Foreign Affairs Minister accepts that there are some things that we hold dear in Australia – peace, tolerance, and respect. Of course we do!
Even the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Tim Watts, made a comment on television regarding the recent antisemitism. He said, “It is horrifying that in Australia, people come from all around the world to experience the freedoms of a democratic society, that people would feel fear about attending a place of worship or practising their religion.” So even he agrees that there is something in Australia that we should all hold dear – our freedoms – and people who come here should respect that.
Perhaps John Howard was right after all.

Gender Pay Gap Myths and Facts
I would suggest that women in Australia and in the rest of the Western world have already attained equality. They have every opportunity afforded to them, and more in some situations (I’ll show you some evidence of that later). However, certain commentators and the powers that be insist that women are still being treated unfairly, even when they’re not, and I know why they do it. The answer is obvious. To divide us. They’ve been doing it for thousands of years. Think the recent Indigenous Voice referendum. It was purely an exercise in division. Divide and conquer. Create or encourage divisions among the subjects to prevent alliances that could challenge the sovereign forces. That is, when the people are fighting each other, they no longer have the power to fight the government. Unfortunately for us plebs, the gender wars can never be won, because the world needs men, and the world needs women. Without one or the other, human civilisation would cease to exist – FACT. Men and women are equally important to society. And to be fair, I love women, at least the women in my life (sure, they can be a pain sometimes, you know what I mean, right?), but my intention in this presentation is not to attack women.
The most recent front in this fabricated war is the so-called Gender Pay Gap. By the end of this presentation, I hope to have convinced you that it is not even a real issue, but as a gesture of goodwill, I’ll play along, I’ll humour you, and offer you one potential solution to this non-issue (even though the solution would be rather questionable).
First of all, let’s take a look at the Australian Bureau of Statistics Gender Pay Gap Guide. Yes, there really is a difference in how much men are paid on average compared to women. But does this tell the full story? Of course not!
“The gender pay gap is not the same as equal pay. Equal pay is where women and men are paid the same for performing the same role or different work of equal or comparable value. In Australia, this has been a legal requirement since 1969!” Okay, so women have been fairly compensated for more than 50 years!
So if it’s not discrimination, why does this pay gap occur? Well, it’s pretty simple really. 1. Fewer women choose the most highly-paid careers. For example, the airline industry has a fairly large gender pay gap. This is because highly-paid engineers and pilots are mostly male, while the cabin and check-in staff are mostly female. Now this doesn’t mean a lady can’t become a pilot, and it doesn’t mean a man can’t become a cabin crew, but we’re just talking averages here. More men study engineering. More ladies become cabin crew. This is not discrimination. These are choices.
And the second major reason the gender pay gap exists: Women take more time off over their careers (on average). This is not a bad thing. I’m not criticising anybody here. But women have a very important role in society… To have children. Now this is not me saying that all women have to have children, of course not, but at least some of them do. Otherwise, as I said earlier, human civilisation would cease to exist – FACT.
Look, if women don’t want to get married, and don’t want to have children, that’s their right. If they want to pursue a career in engineering or whatever and make big bucks just like the men, go for it! There’s nothing stopping you from doing it, well not here in Australia. But you can’t have it all. You can’t work in a lesser paid job, and then complain that your salary is not as good as an engineer or pilot. That’s not discrimination. That’s your choice.
Obviously, I think this is a non-issue. Of course men can be nurses, and of course ladies can be pilots and soldiers. You can do it right now if you want to. This gender pay gap that everyone keeps banging on about, yes, it exists, but it doesn’t exist because of discrimination. It exists because people have the freedom to make choices. And isn’t that a good thing?

The Great Australian Dream Has Been Demolished
The Great Australian Dream, the aspiration to own a house on a modest block of land has been idealised as both the ultimate marker of success and a gateway to a better life. Since after the Second World War, waves of migrants have arrived on Australia’s shores in search of this promise. And many found it. The so-called “Ten Pound Poms”, British citizens who migrated to Australia and New Zealand in the 1940s and 50s who were charged a processing fee of £10 – around $900 in today’s money – as part of the Government’s “Populate or Perish” policy, they were promised employment prospects, affordable housing, and a generally more optimistic lifestyle.
But for current generations, the dreams offered to their parents and grandparents are out of reach. Even renting a house has become a nightmare. The media is awash with stories of massive rent increases and images of desperate people queuing to inspect properties, properties often riddled with defects and mould. And you can’t complain, because the owners know that you’re desperate. If you move out, they can easily find some other poor sap to take your place.
Dr Michael Fotheringham, Managing Director at the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute, has said, “Almost everything that could go wrong with housing in Australia has gone wrong. The only thing that could make it worse is if banks started collapsing. It’s Grapes of Wrath stuff,” referring to the Great Depression-era novel.
The crisis is tipping people into homelessness or overcrowded living conditions. Demand for housing support is so high that some charities say that people in need have been asking for tents and sleeping bags over food and toys.
Every metric tells the same story. Although initially steady, the total value of housing stock in Australia is well above $10 trillion now. Here’s the number written out in full. It’s a number so astronomically huge, it just doesn’t mean anything anymore.
Over the last few decades, the ratio of house prices as compared to household disposable income has more than doubled, along with it household debt.
But it hasn’t always been this way. Up until the new millennium, house prices pretty much tracked wages. As house prices went up, your wages went up, and vice-versa. But after 2000, what do you think happened? Well, we all know the story. Dwelling prices skyrocketed much faster than wages. People aren’t lazier. People aren’t working less. It’s just that the average salary just isn’t buying as much real estate as it used to. 6% compound annual growth in the value of houses over the past 23 years versus 3% annual growth in average incomes has meant that household debt has had to increase from half average disposable income to almost double. The large amount of housing debt Australians carry means that interest rates have a much greater impact on their lives, and this in turn affects inflation, wages, employment and economic growth.
But why? What happened around the year 2000 that made things go so awry? There are basically three reasons. 1. A sharp lift in immigration. Obviously, the more people there are in the country, the more demand for housing. 2. Capital gains tax breaks and negative gearing, which represent a $96 billion per year subsidy for buying houses. And 3. First Home Owner Grants, which essentially inject $1.5 billion into house prices each year. These grants are supposed to help us, but as with many things the Government do, they end up hurting us. And each of these are a direct result of the Government. Either the unintended consequences of misguided ideas, or deliberate policies designed to preserve the wealth of homeowners. Obviously, we can’t just blame one political party. Successive governments have continually fuelled this crisis. It’s just easier to blame the current leader, but it’s certainly not entirely his fault.
As a bit of an aside, former Labor Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and former Liberal Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, both benefited from the Ten Pound Poms scheme mentioned earlier having migrated with their families at a young age.
After decades of government policies that treat housing as an investment not a right, it has become politically easier to make an asset worth more than to make it worth less. If governments caused this crisis, then surely the Government can fix it, but it would require some real political courage to make housing more affordable in Australia.

Robert Crumb’s Misanthropic Diatribe Against Humanity
American cartoonist, Robert Crumb, is not a fan of humanity. Here’s one of his more misanthropic diatribes: “I’m such a negative person, and always have been. Was I born this way? I don’t know. I am constantly disgusted by reality, horrified and afraid. I hate most of humanity. Though I might be very fond of particular individuals, humanity in general fills me with contempt and despair.
I hate most of what passes for civilisation. I hate the modern world. I hate the hordes, the crowds in their vast cities, with all their hateful vehicles, their noise and their constant meaningless comings and goings. I hate modern architecture. I despise modern music. I hate business, having to deal with money. Money is one of the most hateful inventions of the human race. I hate the commodity culture, in which everything is bought and sold. I hate the mass media, and how passively people suck up to it.
I hate having to get up in the morning and face another day of this insanity. I hate having to eat, defecate, maintain the body – I hate my body. Nature is horrible. It’s not cute and lovable. It’s kill or be killed. How I hate the courting ritual. I was always repelled by my own sex drive, which in my youth never left me alone. I was constantly driven by frustrated desires to do bizarre and unacceptable things with and to women. My soul was in constant conflict about it. I never was able to resolve it. Old age is the only relief.
I hate the way the human psyche works, the way we are traumatised and stupidly imprinted in early childhood and have to spend the rest of our lives trying to overcome these infantile mental fixations. And we never ever fully succeed in this endeavour.
I hate organised religions. I hate governments. It’s all a lot of power games played out by ambition-driven people, and foisted on the weak, the poor, and on children. Most humans are bullies. Adults pick on children. Older children pick on younger children. Men bully women. The rich bully the poor. People love to dominate. I hate the way humans worship power – one of the most disgusting of all human traits. I hate the human tendency towards revenge and vindictiveness. I hate the way humans are constantly trying to trick and deceive one another, to swindle, to cheat, and take unfair advantage of the innocent, the naive and the ignorant.
I hate the vacuous, false, banal conversation that goes on among people. Sometimes I feel suffocated. I want to flee from it.
For me, to be human is, for the most part, to hate what I am. When I suddenly realise that I am one of them, I want to scream in horror.”

Only a Fool Would Write Off Trump
It’s less than 11 months till Americans go to the polls, and only a fool would discount Donald J. Trump. Despite being impeached twice and facing a number of charges in multiple criminal cases, Trump has a real chance to return to the White House and become the next and 47th President of the United States. The Democratic Party and the media view him as unfit for office, but millions of voters disagree. Recent polling shows him leading his Republican rivals by more than 50 percentage points. Voters are unhappy with Biden. He says the economy is in good shape, yet the voters see otherwise. Their wages are not keeping pace with the costs of essential goods and services. People are worried about crime and nervous about the flow of illegal migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. Trump is adept at channelling those fears, while also presenting himself as someone who comes from outside the political system. He declares the country is in chaos, and then deftly offers himself as saviour. Even if you don’t like him, Trump just may be the next president.

Boston Mayor Should Be Sacked
We should call out racism wherever we see it, and Boston mayor Michelle Wu, the first person of colour elected mayor of Boston (their words, not mine), held a party that can only be described as advocating racism. An email invitation was accidentally sent to the entire Boston City Council titled “Electeds of Color Holiday Party”. Apparently, this party has been going on for over a decade, but it certainly has come out in the open this year.
Michelle Wu stated, “We’ve had individual conversations with everyone, so people understand that it was truly just an honest mistake that went out in typing the email field. It’s just one of many parties that will be held for Boston elected officials during this holiday season, but this one was only intended to go to the six minority council members. I think we all have been in a position at one point where an email went out and there was a mistake in the recipients, so there was truly just an honest mistake that happened in issuing the invitation.”
So instead of calling out the obvious discrimination involved in hosting this party, she’s instead waffled on about it just being a mistake in the issuing of the email. It was simply a technical issue. How about the fact that you’re only inviting people of certain skin colours to parties. I mean, it doesn’t really need to be stated, but if a Caucasian-Only Party was held, people would be horrified, and rightfully so.
And while I’m here, I may as well call out the racial term “People of Colour”. These people claim they’re against racism, yet they insist on using this racialised term. Not only does is not dissuade racism, it actively promotes it by continually referring to people’s skin colour. If you are truly against racism, well, stop using racial language and hosting parties where only people of certain skin colours are invited.
Boston City Councillor, At-Large, Ruthzee Louijeune, who attended the party on Wednesday night, is described as, “A grounded, thoughtful, and inclusive leader”. Well, inclusive for certain people. Regarding the Party, she said, “It is not at all divisive. It is creating spaces for people, and communities and identities with shared experiences to come together. We are still breaking barriers and it is so important for us to carve out and create that space.” Again, would a Caucasian party be appropriate in the Councillor’s eyes? Obviously not. It seems like if it weren’t for double standards, these people would have no standards at all.
I think that the people of Boston should call this out for what it is and demand that Michelle Wu do one of two things, either call out the party for its obvious racial undertones and ban it from ever taking place again, or step down as mayor. If she’s unwilling to do either, then she should be sacked.

Some Famous (Infamous?) Misanthropic Quotes
“Charles Bukowski, do you hate people?” “I don't hate them… I just feel better when they’re not around.” Bill Hicks: “I’m tired of this back-slapping ‘Isn’t humanity neat!’ bullshit. We’re a virus with shoes.” Molière: “Betrayed and wronged in everything, I’ll flee this bitter world where vice is king, And seek some spot unpeopled and apart, Where I’ll be free to have an honest heart.” André Malraux: “What is Man? A miserable little pile of secrets.” Novala Takemoto: “Most people are full of themselves and speak only the obnoxiously superficial. In other words, they’re annoying as hell.” Emil Cioran: “The multiplication of our kind borders on the obscene; the duty to love them, on the preposterous.” Charles Bukowski again: “People diminish me. The longer I sit and listen to them, the more empty I feel. But I don’t get the idea that they feel empty. I feel that they enjoy the sound from their mouths.” Bill Hicks again: “I believe that there is an equality to all humanity. We all suck!”

New Zealand to Remove Treaty/Ancestry-Based Policies
In general, I think government should stay out of people’s lives as much as possible. Big government results in big problems. But when it comes to government making polices based on people’s ancestry or heritage, they should stay the hell out completely. Giving people of certain ancestry more benefits than those who are not of that ancestry is just plain morally wrong. But of late, governments like to tell us that it’s a good thing to do this “in order to correct inter-generational trauma caused by the harmful effects of colonisation”, or some other BS.
The Sixth Labour Government of New Zealand under the leadership of Jacinda Ardern and Chris Hipkins, introduced rules the were very much ancestry-based. Now the Sixth National Government, a coalition comprising the National Party, ACT Party and New Zealand First, under the leadership of PM Christopher Luxon, are set to reverse many of these ancestry-based policies, and I think that’s a good thing. The former government pushing ahead dividing New Zealanders by their ancestry was going to destroy New Zealand.
Smoking. I suppose it comes as little surprise to many of you that the politics of smoking in New Zealand became a racial issue. Associate Professor of Public Health Andrew Waa, who identifies as Māori, has long spoken about the health inequity facing Māori people, which he says is rooted in New Zealand’s colonial history. 9% of New Zealand’s adult population are daily smokers, whereas more than double that, 22% of Māori are daily smokers (it’s even higher among Māori women). In a research report on tobacco usage, along with others, Professor Waa stated, “Colonisation is an underlying driver of ethnic inequalities in smoking behaviour.”
Māori language. The new PM has stated that his government are planning to dial back the use of Māori language in government organisations. Fair enough. I mean, only about 16.5% of New Zealanders identify as Māori, and only about 4% of the population can speak Māori, so it doesn’t make sense to allow Māori language in the government if the vast majority of people can’t understand it. Sure, people can study Māori if they want to, but it shouldn’t be forced upon people. As with any language, forcing the Maori language on people causes them to resent it,
Treaty of Waitangi, the country’s 180-year-old founding document. The new government have said they will review the Treaty and allow parliament to debate whether the nation should hold a referendum on co-governance with Māori, which in practice would give Māori a permanent seat in government, regardless of the norms of democracy. Privately, many New Zealanders see this as a Māori takeover, and without knowing too much about New Zealand politics, I think the results of the referendum would be a big fat NO. As we saw in Australia with the Indigenous Voice referendum, people don’t want others getting political advantage based purely on their ancestry.
And the last one, Māori Health Authority. The new government has already announced it plans to close the Māori Health Authority, Te Aka Whai Ora, set up during Jacinda Ardern’s Labour government in order to improve Māori health outcomes. Some commentators have claimed that this has simply created a two-tier system based on patients’ ancestry. It actually had real ramifications, as I mentioned in previous videos. This is from June 2023 from the Guardian, “New Zealand starts giving priority to Māori and Pacific elective surgery patients”. Basically, a new algorithm was implemented in some hospitals which meant Māori and Pacific patients were pushed higher on surgery waiting lists than those of other ethnicities. It was racist. It was discriminatory. It goes against all traditional triage principles, but yet it was allowed under a Labour Government.
David Seymour, leader of coalition partner ACT New Zealand, a libertarian party, and future Deputy Prime Minister, was asked about these changes. He simply said, “Where will New Zealand be in 50 years’ time if the current path continues, where Kiwis are offered different rights based on their ancestry?”. It’s a good rhetorical question, one which I answered it at the start of this video. Pushing ahead dividing New Zealanders by their ancestry is going to destroy New Zealand. I don’t think that’s an exaggeration. With regards to the Treaty of Waitangi, Mr Seymour said, “I acknowledge the Treaty of Waitangi is a national ‘taonga’ (Māori for treasure), but its principles are vague, free-floating ideas for activist judges and officials to divine.”
Anyway, the new New Zealand Government are planning to do away with all these ancestry-based policies, and I think that’s probably the best thing not only for equality, but also for social cohesion. Putting others ahead of others because they happen to have the right bloodline is a recipe for disaster.

How to Destroy Surf Life Saving
In this presentation, I give you three steps how to destroy surf life saving. (These steps are actually being implemented as we speak). Step 1. Send out a draft document to all clubs titled “Diverse Gender Factsheet for Surf Life Saving Clubs”.
Step 2. In it, explain to volunteers and members that in order to avoid misgendering people, they must “retrain their brain” to avoid calling people by their biological sex when they don’t identify as their biological sex, which may or may not be male or female. Obviously, your brain has been misprogrammed to think there are only two biological sexes, which is wrong, so your brain needs to be corrected. Don’t worry, you can practise when you are alone, or in your head. I recommend looking in the mirror, if you are a man, and repeating this affirmation over and over, “You are not a man. You are a little girl lifesaver.”
Step 3. Force clubs to modify existing change rooms, bathrooms and showers to “gender neutral spaces” and build more unisex toilets. Despite clubs primarily relying on donations and scant funding, and despite only 20 people out of the total 76,000 members identifying as non-binary, the clubs should be forced to spend any remaining resources on rebuilding their toilets to accommodate less than 0.1% of people. It does not matter if parents do not want their teenage daughters getting changed in the same change room as an anatomically correct male who just happens to identify as female, that is just plain ignorance and parents just need to retrain their brains.
If you follow these three steps, you are sure to destroy surf life saving as we know it as thousands of people cancel their donations and membership, and pull their children out of the clubs.
Alternatively, you can just focus on the key objective of saving people from drowning. “We accept all people no matter their background. As long as you’re willing to rescue people from drowning without fear or favour, you are welcome.”
Personally, if I’m out swimming in the surf and get caught in a strong current and need to be dragged out of the ocean by a surf lifesaver, I don’t care what you call me. Mr, Mrs. Miss. Instead, I will be eternally grateful that you saved me.

The Queen Is Gone (No Surprises There)
In November 2021, then Labor leader and Chief Minister of the Northern Territory Michael Gunner blasted those who were against the mandates, even if they themselves had had the imposed medical treatment. “Stuff it, shove it!” Six months later in May 2022, he resigned as Chief Minister stating that his head and heart were no longer in the job.
In December 2021, then Western Australian Premier and Labor leader Mark McGowan was having fun closing borders and dictating what medical treatment his constituents must receive in order to maintain their livelihoods. In May 2023, he stood down as Premier and announced his retirement from politics citing “exhaustion”.
In mid-2021, then Victorian Premier and Labor leader Daniel Andrews was responsible for some of the harshest pandemic restrictions in the world, with his infamous Orwellian message, “Staying apart keeps us together”. Nighttime curfews, permits to work, yes, this was Dan Andrews dystopia. He also infamously banned golf. Three years on, karma has somewhat come back to bite him with many of Victoria’s elite golf clubs rejecting his membership. I suppose it comes as no surprise that in September this year, Daniel Andrews resigned as Premier, citing that he was “worse than a workaholic”, that “every waking moment was about work”, and that he didn’t “want to get to a place where he resented his job”.
And the last pandemic premier still standing in my home state of Queensland, Premier and Labor leader Annastacia Palaszczuk, has announced her resignation as well just yesterday. Under her watch, Queensland notoriously had some of the strictest pandemic-related border restrictions in the country preventing desperate loved ones from reconnecting with dying family members and friends. She banned single-use plastic bags, brought in tougher land-clearing laws, and also legalised voluntary assisted dying. But now, the pressure has become a bit too much from within Labor’s ranks, and she has quit. Well, I’ve only got two words to say to the outgoing Premier… Good riddance!

Certain People Choosing Not to Have Children
I know a couple who are probably in their mid 40s. They both work in the public service here in Queensland. When they got married, they made it very clear to each other, and everybody else, that they’re not planning to have children. They’re reasoning is very clear. They don’t want to bring children into a world that is on the verge of cataclysmic climate change. That’s they’re main reason. They’re secondary reason is that they “enjoy their free time” and don’t want to give that up to look after children.
Throughout human history, there have been hundreds of major disasters and calamities. Think World War II. If people just gave up and decided that they weren’t going to have children, then human civilisation would have ended, and we never would have saw the modern world.
The second couple I know, also in their mid-40s, the guy is a university lecturer, while his wife (well, I presume it’s his wife), is a university administrator. At the very least, they’re in a de facto relationship. You know, they’re the type that always say “my partner” instead of “my wife” or “husband”. I’ve known them for over a decade as we work at the same university. They made it very clear a long time ago that they never intend on having children stating that “The world is already overpopulated. We choose not to have children to help future generations and the planet.” It sounds almost nonsensical, “We choose not to have children to help future generations.” Hate to tell, if you don’t have children, they’re won’t be any future generations. You’re literally breeding yourself out of existence.
Well, while these well-to-do, Western academics and intellectuals are not having children, the rest of the world moves on. Africa has one of the highest fertility rates in the world with countries such as Chad having an average of six or more children per woman. Central Asian countries such as Afghanistan continue to average more than four children per mother. It’s largely people in Western and East Asian countries that are choosing to have so few children now.
I have some interaction with the refugee community in my neck of the woods, and by and large, they have large families despite them having much less money than these people choosing to not have children. Paradoxically, these rich university professors who have plenty of resources are forgoing children.
But the funny thing is, these largely Western, socially progressive academics often vote for political parties that are proponents of large scale immigration, not to mention proponents of certain medical procedures that make it easier to not have children, a procedure starting with ‘A’ that I’m not allowed to talk about openly on this platform for some reason. While they choose not to have children, the Australian Government continues to import hundreds of thousands of new people every year. It’s almost laughable when you think about it. When you choose not to have children, that just encourages the Government to increase immigration. They don’t care about your concerns, and to be fair, you voted them in.
Statistically, according to the ABS Household and families: Census from 2021, Couples with no children make up 38.8% of all families, which is quite a large number. More and more people are choosing not to have children. When I was a kid, there were couples without children, but it was almost always due to their inability to have children, not an intentional choice.
But even if these people’s concerns are completely valid — the world is on the verge of catastrophic environmental collapse — well wouldn’t it make sense to have children, pass on your genes, teach them your knowledge and values, so that they can grow up to be the next climate scientists, or whatever. But instead you take the easy way out and choose to end your lineage. Thousands of generations came before you. If any of those ancestors chose not to have children, you wouldn’t be in existence. By purposely choosing not to have children, you’re intentionally and permanently ending your genealogical line. It’s funny, only humans intentionally do this. I don’t know any other species that try to wipe themselves out as much as we do.
So what can we say about these childless parents, at least the ones I know? Well, they want to save the planet by forgoing children. But it makes no sense. The population still increases thanks to other countries pumping out children, not to mention the Australian Government’s obsession with immigration. Thanks to massive population inflows, their childless existence isn’t going to make a lick of difference to the environment. The only thing these couples are actually achieving, as I mentioned before, they are breeding themselves out of existence. And perhaps some of you think that is a good thing.

Labor’s Promises Didn’t Take Long to Break
As with every political party, Labor made some promises before being elected. They promised to implement the Indigenous Voice to Parliament, which was a complete flop, but I’m not holding that against them. They kept their word in that they held the referendum. It’s just that Australians weren’t having it and voted No. Despite this, the ABC continue to publish, “Overwhelming majority of Australians support a First Nations voice despite referendum defeat”. I wonder where they conducted that survey? I guess Canberra.
But one of the biggest promises that Labor completely muffed up, was the promise of cheaper electricity prices. “An Anthony Albanese Labor Government will cut power bills by $275 a year.” Fat chance! The ABC actually published this chart earlier today. Estimated annual household power bills. Shown in red is Labor’s promise. Down, down, down, down, down. But what we actually spent, shown in blue, up, up, up, up, up! It’s kind of opposite to what they promised. Now I know some of you will say that there’s been a war in the Ukraine. But the ABC did address that, “But even after the war began, Labor repeated the pledge that supercharging clean energy would deliver cheaper energy in its first term in power.” To be fair to Labor, they still have a little bit of time left until 2025, but it would take a massive drop in prices to get to their promised amount. It just doesn’t seem possible at this stage, but you never know, may Albo has some tricks up his sleeve?
“Powering Australia! Labor’s plan to create jobs, cut power bills and reduce emissions by boosting renewable energy.” Feel free to donate to the cause if any of you have any free money. Oh that’s right, most of you don’t. Another article published by the ABC today, “The GDP numbers explain why you are feeling broke and eating baked beans”. According to Australian National Accounts, released yesterday, Australia’s GDP grew 0.2% in the last quarter, which is not very good at the best of times, but since the population grew by 0.7% in the same period (thanks immigration), which means everybody’s slice of Australia’s economic pie just got half a per cent smaller. Nothing like a good graph to paint a picture. Household saving rates have plummeted to their lowest level in like 15 years as people have to spend more of their income just to pay the mortgage, the rent, and the inflated cost of groceries.
“Aussie economy left behind under Albanese. While US and Europe bounce back from tough economic times, Australia is fighting a losing battle.” “The lucky country? Aussies preparing to live on the road as poor rental availability, cost of living and wage stagnation take hold”. And to keep things fair, one from the ABC, “Australia’s economic growth disappoints, as economy goes backwards per person over the past year”
So what does Albo have to say when he sees electricity prices skyrocketing and people’s savings dwindling? “I promise”. It’s somewhat laughable when you think about it.

The One Delusion Society Seems to Accept
There’s one delusion that we seem to accept in society. We not only accept it, we actively encourage it, we enable it, we provide opportunities for people to act out their fantasy. But you’re not allowed to speak out against it. I’m not even going to mention the disorder here, because it’s so politically charged.
Anorexia Nervosa is a psychiatric disease that we are all probably familiar with. I’ve known people who’ve had this condition, and it’s certainly very serious. It involves a profound dissatisfaction with one’s body. Despite being dangerously underweight, many sufferers still see themselves as overweight or even obese. But society understands that this is a delusion. It’s a mental disorder where the person has a distorted mental image of their body. It doesn’t match reality. Yet, we would never recommend weight-loss surgery to these people to help with their body image. Physicians who go along with such irrational beliefs, by offering liposuction for example, would be up for medical malpractice or malfeasance.
People with Body Integrity Dysphoria, a very rare mental illness where there is a mismatch between a person’s mental body image and their physical appearance, characterised by an intense desire for amputation or paralysis of a limb, or to become deaf, or even blind. Should surgeons willingly go along with this delusion and help the person become blind, or disabled? That would surely be immoral, and rightfully so. Instead, Body Integrity Dysphoria is treated as a psychiatric illness, as it should be.
Schizophrenia, a chronic mental disorder involving delusions and hallucinations, with some people believing that aliens are trying to poison them. Should we go along with their delusions and help them stop the aliens? Of course not. It’s not real. It’s a disservice to pretend that their hallucinations are real. Instead we treat it as a serious mental disorder.
I am actively employed at a university that is giving people the opportunity to receive permanent, life-altering, often irreversible surgery and other procedures in order for the their physical body to match their spurious mental body image. If you read about it in a book, it would read like some kind of Frankenstein experiment. Surgeons claiming they can change people’s biological identity. But it turns out no amount of cosmetic surgery can effect a biological change. To pretend otherwise is a masquerade. Many individuals who undergo this surgery realise that it doesn’t deliver the serenity they were once promised. Depression and anxiety, among other things, continue. But yet as a society, we have somehow allowed this cultural delusion. It seems like we have learnt nothing from the disasters of previous attempts to treat mental illness with surgery, for example, prefrontal lobotomy. This barbaric procedure was responsible for at least 490 deaths and left thousands of people in a vegetative state. Sadly, in many cases, that was believed to be an improvement in the lives of many mentally ill people as they were now easier to take care of. Thankfully, this horrible procedure has since been discredited, although at the time it was considered the apex of neurosurgical intervention.
Unfortunately, the follies and foolishness of humankind are historically not uncommon. Epidemics of irrational groupthink are well-documented. Witch hunts have been a fairly commonplace practice throughout human history. Simply being labelled a witch was often enough evidence of witchcraft punishable in the most horrendous ways. The authorities at the time honestly thought they were doing a moral good.
Alchemy, the attempt to change base metals such as lead or copper into silver or gold, and to discover cures for disease, or elixirs of immortality. The idea is considered ludicrous to the modern mind, but at the time was considered the peak of scientific research and discovery. Actually, the transmutation of base substances into gold is now known to be impossible by chemical means but possible by physical means, although not financially worthwhile.
Why do I mention alchemy? Well, it is somewhat comparable to the current popular delusion that I mentioned previously, not to turn base metals into gold, but rather to transcend the laws of biology and transmute human nature. In a hundred years time, will this be considered another folly in human history? Time will tell I suppose.

The YouTube Sword Hanging Over My Head
Many listeners of mine send in requests for particular video topics, and many of these topics I honestly want to pursue, however, I have a sword dangling above my head, placed there by the largest video sharing website on the internet. You see, a bit over a year ago, I published a video that spoke about a particular pathogen and its effect on a particular vital organ of the human body. I thought it was fact-based, but apparently not. The company removed the video and hit me with a warning, a warning that has stayed with me since October 2022. Every time I login to my account, I see this warning. “Channel violations. Active Community Guidelines strikes. Warning.” I guess they’ve done some research on the psychology of this. By dangling a warning over my head, it keeps me in line. And it’s worked to some extent. I tend to avoid certain topics now knowing that at anytime my masters can drop the sword upon me.
For over a year, I had no way to remove this, until recently. Exactly one year later, they offered me an ultimatum. Clicking on the warning, “Your content was removed due to a violation of our Community Guidelines. You’ve received a warning. You can take a policy training which will remove the warning after 90 days.” So basically, take the mandatory training, or forever have this warning looming over your head. I took the training. It was on Medical Misinformation and I passed with flying colours on October 26. Consequently, my warning is due to expire next year, January 24.
I’d like to show you the training, but some of the questions are pretty intense, and I’m worried just by showing you, I’m going to be accused of the very thing that got me here in the first place. But I’ll show you what I can.
“While there are different types of medical misinformation, the one we'll focus on most in your training is V misinformation. The company doesn't allow content that poses a serious risk of egregious harm.” They mention things such as the “World Health Organisation’s guidance”. They talk about “Prevention misinformation, Treatment misinformation, Denial misinformation.” But they also note that “this training includes descriptions of medical misinformation, which could be upsetting or triggering to some people”.
I won’t show you the questions, because I know that’ll get me into trouble. But, I will show you two questions that I created that are similarly structured. You’ll quickly see that you can’t fail this training. The answer is always obvious.
Question 1. Sandra hosts a regular podcast inviting many astronomy experts and aficionados on as guests. One guest starts talking about the Apollo 11 spaceflight and incorrectly states that Buzz Aldrin was the first human to step onto the Moon’s surface. What should Sandra tell her guest? A. “Actually, Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the Moon”. B. “No man has walked on the Moon. The moon landing was fake.” C. “No man has walked on the Moon. The moon is not real. It’s simply a projection.”
Question 2. Serj uploads a video stating that mathematics is subjective and can result in various answers depending on the scenario. He offers one such scenario. (Please select the answer that is most appropriate and that does not spread harmful mathematical misinformation). Billy has thirteen apples, James gives him seven more apples. How many apples does Billy now have? A. 20 apples. B. 34,514 apples. C. Lemon. D. People who eat apples are being tracked by the government by special implants hidden in the core of the apple.
Obviously, even if you are the biggest conspiracy theorist of all time, you could still answer these questions correctly and pass the training. So that begs the question, “What is the point of the training?”. Well I can only conclude that it is not training. It’s more of a game of, “Are you willing to answer these questions correctly?”, or, “Are you willing to pretend that you don’t believe in these conspiracy theories just to pass the training?”. It’s stupid. It’s not training. But here we are in 2023 with one company being the self-proclaimed arbiters of truth. And we just sit here and pretend that that’s okay.

Harmful Predictions by the Bureau of Meteorology
If you live in Australia, you may have noticed a lot of rain of late. But this wasn’t exactly predicted. Quite the opposite. Our esteemed Bureau of Meteorology, BOM. You’re not allowed to call them BOM anymore. Australians might get confused and think they’re an actual bomb, so you have to call them The Bureau. But, the rebranding was set to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and there was quite a big backlash, so the Bureau now says people can refer to the body “in any way they wish”. That’s good, because I’m planning to call them The Bureau of Mythology and Unicorns.
In March this year, the ABC announced that “An 'El Niño Watch' has been declared — here’s what that could mean for Australia's weather in 2023”, with a picture of a dead fish on a dry lake bed. Later in June, they proudly announced, “BoM declares El Niño alert, signalling higher chance of warm, dry winter conditions”. This was only an alert, and not a fully-fledged El Niño declaration, but it had real-life consequences. Cattle farmers took these warnings seriously, as can be seen in the cattle prices. As the warnings came and fear of drought increased, farmers reacted and sold their stock, resulting in lower cattle prices for all. In September, “Bureau of Meteorology formally declares El Niño weather event, as hot and dry conditions sweep south-east Australia”. What do you think happened to cattle prices, they plummeted, robbing farmers of income all based on a prediction. …
And as we know, rains came in November, a lot of rain. “Major storm event on the horizon across Australia as El Niño takes a raincheck”. The media outlets were confused, “Why is Australia this wet in El Niño?”. According to the Bureau, November rainfall was well above average in many parts of Australia, with blue and purple indicating 200, 300, and even 400% of average rainfalls. For those farmers who still had some cattle to sell, prices understandably went up (a little bit), but still didn’t get back to initial prices seen before El Niño alerts were made.
Garry Edwards, Deputy Chair at Cattle Australia, said cattle prices are undervalued and spending all year talking about El Niño did not help. He said, “My personal opinion is that there’s been a chronic overreaction to the Bureau announcing El Niño. I think the Bureau potentially go earlier and stronger in those El Niño announcements than they might have in the past, which may force or encourage producers to make more significant and dramatic decisions earlier than what they’d previously make. There are no global indicators that support Australia’s cattle prices being so low. I expect prices to improve over the next two to six months.”
Meat and Livestock Australia Managing Director Jason Strong, who recently announced his resignation, also commented on the El Niño predictions, “This prospect of El Niño has been discussed since very early in the year. When it got declared it probably carried more weight in people’s thinking than it should have. The lesson for us is that people are going to respond to this information much quicker than ever before, so how do we make sure there’s better context around it and do that quicker?”
My opinion is that the Bureau should probably stick to more dependable predictions, such as daily and weekly forecasts, and weather warnings. Predictions made months, or even years ahead is a game fraught with danger, and as we saw with cattle prices, has real-life consequences. The ABC should probably stick to the news. This climate alarmism that they’ve been caught up in is essentially speculation and crystal ball gazing. But they can’t seem to help themselves. “Bureau of Meteorology and AFAC summer outlook looks hot across all corners of Australia, with heightened fire risk”. Summer will be hot? What sort of madness is this?
Look, all I need to know, and all we should expect from the Bureau of Meteorology is, “Do I need to bring an umbrella tomorrow?”, and “Can I wash my clothes on the weekend?”.

More Frugal Living Hurts the Economy
“One person gives freely, yet gains more; Another withholds what is right, only to become poor.” ~Proverbs 11:24. If everyone lived like me, the world as we know it would end. There would be a major recession, indeed depression. I am extremely frugal. I shop at the cheapest supermarkets. I eat tofu and beans instead of meat. I almost never buy clothes, mainly because relatives keep giving them to me, but when I do, I shop at Kmart, or Big W. I don’t care what people think about what I wear. When I do shop online, I always change from Sort by: Recommended to Sort by: Price (Low to High). I don’t need the supermarket recommending me what to buy. I don’t need expensive cars. Heck, I almost don’t need a cheap car. 95% of my travelling is done on foot. I live within walking distance of almost everything I need. I don’t enjoy shopping and consumerism. I find it boring. I don’t enjoy travelling and tourism. I find it annoying. I don’t like eating out. I find it too expensive. I don’t pay for any subscriptions like Netflix or Disney+. I don’t pay for video games. I don’t drink alcohol. I don’t smoke. I essentially only buy the necessities in my life. I almost don’t have any discretionary spending. When I earn money, I save it. I earn interest in the bank, and earn dividends from the share market. But I have nothing to spend it on. I have nothing to buy. Perhaps some of you can relate to me. Perhaps some of you think I’m crazy. But one thing I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, if everyone did what I did, the economy would collapse.
This is essentially called the Paradox of Thrift. Basically, if everyone stopped spending, then lots of companies would close resulting in massive jobs losses due to nobody buying anything, and then people would have no income and no ability to save. Paradoxically, everyone saving would result in no one saving as no one would have any income to save. My extreme frugality is extremely bad for the economy if everyone does it. Thriftiness would destroy the world. A few of us can get away with it, but the economy needs people to spend all the time. Luckily, it seems like many people can’t help it, and just waste their money as a matter of course, allowing people like me to live our frugal lives.
Independent economist Saul Eslake has commented on this before. He said, “If everyone cut their spending back to the basics, and did it immediately, the result would be an almighty recession — indeed, a depression. The impact would actually be greater than $424 billion or 26% of GDP, because businesses would cut back their investment spending as well, in response to the sudden drop in economic activity and prospects for future sales of their products. And of course there would be significant second-round effects, because people currently employed in providing ‘non-basic’ goods and services would lose their jobs.”
ABC journalist David Taylor who has written extensively on economic matters, also commented, “Things like movie tickets, entertainment — including video games, TVs and iPads — holidays, dining out, furniture, and some types of clothing. So the types of jobs that would go first are department store sales assistants, supply chain workers — the people getting the products to the stores. The hospitality industry would also be hit hard: waiters, chefs, cleaners, bar attendants, actors and musicians.”
Mr Eslake commented on the paradox I mentioned earlier. He said, “This illustrates what famous economist John Maynard Keynes called the Paradox of Thrift. Because one household’s spending is, in effect, another households’ income. If all households try simultaneously to increase their saving by reducing their spending, no-one will be able to increase their saving because everyone will experience a large drop in their incomes.”
Mr Taylor commented on people’s savings, “Deposits act as a nice bit of insulation for the economy. While they do facilitate lending, economists view savings as a ‘leakage’ of money out of the economy.”
So what is one to do? If everyone saving too much is bad, what should the average Joe do with their money? Mr Eslake concludes, “As a general proposition, it is a good idea for people to save a bit of their income if they can. Starting early, and saving a consistent amount over a long period, can produce big returns. On the other hand… if everyone tries to increase their saving all at once, the result will be bad for almost everyone.”
So basically, the world needs people to spend. I’m pretty sure there’s no shortage of people who are happy to do that. But people like me, people who are almost philosophically against wasting money will probably just continue doing what we do. Sure, the world would collapse if everyone was like me, but everyone isn’t like me. There’s plenty of people out there willing to work long hours and buy expensive cars while I sip on my green tea and eat tofu and beans.

Indigenous Professor Stan Grant Is Angry (Again)
Indigenous Journalist and Professor Stan Grant is angry (again), or perhaps ‘still’. This time over the results of the Voice Referendum. “‘Evil’: Stan Grant breaks silence on failed Voice to Parliament referendum.” In a speech delivered at the Australian National University on Monday, he criticised No voters for inflicting pain on Indigenous people and the Australian psyche. But before we get to that, just a quick backstory. I grew up with Stan Grant on my television screen. I didn’t think of him as Indigenous or non-Indigenous. I just thought of him as the news reporter guy. Around 2017, he started writing articles for the ABC, which for the most part, I thoroughly enjoyed. He certainly has a way with words.
In this first article about Ken Wyatt from 2017, Australia’s first Indigenous minister, he asks the question, should being Indigenous really matter? And he basically answers, no it shouldn’t. He said, “What I did not want to ask is how he felt about being the first Indigenous anything. Mr Wyatt is a federal Minister — he is there to be held accountable. He is there to represent all Australians.” And I think that’s a really moderate and valid statement.
In his article about Australia Day from 2019, he argues that Australia Day should be a time for hope, not resentment, and argues that the world is torn apart by conflicts fuelled by toxic resentment of past injustices. Again, I think this was a very moderate view.
But by the early 2020s, or so, I found his views getting more and more divisive, more and more extreme. For example, in March 2022, a pro-Russian audience member on the Q+A program dared to take an opposing view on the Ukraine-Russian conflict, and then Stan Grant famously (or infamously) asked him to leave the studio. Apparently in democratic Australia, you can’t hold a view that’s contrary to the majority opinion, and if you do, Stan Grant will kick you off his show.
In August 2023, Grant announced that he would be resigning from the ABC due to “grotesque racist abuse”. He now works at Charles Sturt University as the Vice Chancellor's Chair of Indigenous Belonging, and at Monash University as the Director of the Constructive Institute.
Now that he has a sweet new gig at Monash university, he should be happy right? Well, no.
Have you ever noticed of late that he always refers to “my people”, as if we’re not all the same people? Aren’t we all Australians? Aren’t we all part of the human race? But yet, he acts like his people are somehow different from our people. Indigenous vs Non-Indigenous. It’s very divisive language, and not the language I remember him using just a few short years ago.
“It is hard to think of Australia as a place of evil, there is just so much sunshine, smiling faces and wide open spaces – but evil has happened here. What else should we call it? People beheaded, flour poisoned, frontier raiding parties. That it happened in our past, does that make the evil any less? My historical wounds are Australian… the evil is known to us – the First People of this country – and this may be our curse, to see an Australia others don’t see and have no words to convince others it is real.”
He then went on to say the most honest thing I’ve heard during this entire campaign, “The Voice was never a modest ask, it was monumental, perhaps this was the opportunity lost by the yes campaign, to not let the Voice truly speak.” If you remember, the Prime Minister (and everyone else in the Yes campaign), were saying it was just a modest request. They were obviously lying to us. Luckily, the people of Australia saw through it. Grant continues, “Instead it was shushed… shrunk small enough to fit into politics. In the consultants’ suites and the lawyers’ dens, it was determined that if the Voice was made so inoffensive people may say yes – instead it was so inoffensive people found it so easy to say no.”
Basically, not only is he angry with No voters, he also condemned the actions of the Yes campaigners, arguing that they turned the Voice into a “lecture about unity”.
Stan Grant is angry, and I think he is having trouble finding peace in this world.

Forced University First Nations Cultural Appreciation
As part of my work agreement at one of the universities I work for, I must participate in this so-called First Nations Cultural Capabilities Training. Just as this guy is blowing some smoke in this smoking ceremony, someone was blowing some smoke when designing this training material.
Understanding the Importance of First Nations Cultural Capabilities at Uni. Of course, they do the obligatory acknowledgement of the traditional custodians. The module is approximately sixty minutes in duration – It took me at least that long, mainly because I was taking all these screenshots to share with you in this video. It is designed to inform and empower you towards: Culturally appropriate work practices; and Building and maintaining respectful relationships and partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, peoples and communities.
My first thought is why does the university think that only Aboriginal culture needs a special explanation about it? If I was Aboriginal, I’d be insulted by all this. Not only do they think I need a special module about me, they also need to force everyone in the university to participate. They feel the need to teach non-Indigenous people how to approach me, how to talk to me, how to not offend me, like I’m some sort of creature from another world. It’s a divisive joke, but the university keep pushing this garbage. To be clear, I’m not calling traditional Aboriginal culture garbage, just this forced Cultural Capabilities training about our fellow Australians.
Anyway, let’s see a sample of some of the “training”. First of all, you need to know the difference between Acknowledgement of Country and Welcome to Country, you know, all the stuff Aussies love to hear constantly. I don’t know about you, but I love being welcomed to my own country at every possible opportunity.
They go on about how we have to engage with Aboriginal people differently. There are social and political barriers which have marginalised Indigenous groups throughout history. There’s other lesser known barriers such as inter-generational traumas, and traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander speech patterns known as Aboriginal English (AE).
The training tells us to consider our own bias. It is important to always reflect on our own cultural biases and standpoints before we engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. Again, it’s as if Aboriginal people are so different from the rest of us that we have to take special steps before engaging with them. It’s very disparaging I think.
They talk about Aboriginal Law, and how these Laws have functioned to inform Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people about how to live sustainably on the land. Non-Indigenous law operates differently in that it shifts to suit the interests of humans.
As part of the training, there was also significant dates we had to learn. Survival day, you know the day formally known as Australia Day: Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples choose to mark Australia Day as a day to highlight the invasion of Australia by Europeans and to acknowledge the survival of their cultural heritage. I like how they lump all Aboriginal people into one basket. They are all against Australia Day and see it as an invasion. What a load of crap! Apology Anniversary, National Close the Gap Day, Mabo Day, NAIDOC Week, just to name a few more.
But the biggest one that I love the most, and perhaps the most divisive of all: Cultural and Ceremonial Leave. Isn’t this discrimination? Only people of a certain ancestry are entitled to certain entitlements. As I said earlier, equality is no longer the goal. That was already attained. They’re pushing this as far as they can now, elevating Indigenous Australians above everyone else, which as I said, will create resentment, and is a disaster just waiting to happen. This won’t bring unity. This will bring the opposite.
This one was funny: Never make eye contact with Indigenous people because it’s disrespectful. This obviously was one of the incorrect answers, but it’s funny that they included it. Again, they’re making Indigenous people sound like some kind of foreign being that we have to take special precautions around. It’s very disparaging to Indigenous people.
One thing I quickly realised about this “training”, is that it’s not training at all. It’s propaganda! Since the Voice defeat, they’re pushing this more than ever. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’d be fired from the university for talking about this publicly like I’m doing now. We supposedly live in a free country, but you can’t talk badly about First Nations training modules.

Taxpayer-Funded Indigenous Activism Fireworks Display ABC
The ABC is supposedly funded by the tax dollars of all Australians, but you probably wouldn’t be able to tell based on their recent New Year’s Eve Sydney fireworks display. It was more of an exercise in propaganda. I think they were probably expecting the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum to win, which it didn’t, but they went ahead with the program all the same. Here’s how the hosts introduced the evening:
“I’m Zan Rowe, and I’m Charlie Pickering. We are thrilled to be coming to you live from Gadigal land for the New Year’s Eve celebrations, and evening of incredible music from some of the nation’s biggest artists.”
So despite standing in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge which spans Sydney Harbour in the city of Sydney, the biggest city in Australia, they never once mentioned the word Sydney in their introduction. It’s Gadigal land, don’t you know?
Of course, there was the obligatory Welcome to Country that we all love: “And to kick things off, our Welcome to Country performed by Aunty Joan Bell and Pequita Bell. We honour our elders and leaders including Barangaroo, Pemulwuy, and many others who fought the first boat people who landed in Sydney Cove. Welcome to Gadigal Eora country. Welcome to my country. Welcome.” Welcome to MY country, not your country. In it, they honoured the warriors who slaughtered those evil first boat people that many of us are descended from. Not divisive at all! At least she used the word Sydney.
Don’t worry, the division continues! “And I’m joined right now by Triple J’s Nooky, one of the curators of what you’re about to see.” He chose to wear a giant QR code on his shirt. After the Indigenous Voice defeat, Nooky famously said these words live on Triple J: “We ain’t licking our wounds today. We’re sharpening our spears!”. We’re sharpening our spears. It’s all very war-like with Nooky. It’s probably no surprise that his organisation is called waw, W-A-W, We Are Warriors. Just out of interest, here’s Warrior #005, Felicia Foxx. She’ll kill you with her Mascara. “Well I’m Felicia Foxx, I’m an extravagant, strong, black woman who don’t take s*** from no-one.”
Anyway, back to Nooky’s tolerant and unifying language, “I started to showcase blak excellence and create pathways for our youth and just elevate stories of blak power and blak success and blak love.” You know, all the stuff that brings us together as a nation, blak success, blak love, blak power.
Then an Indigenous band called “3%” played a rather divisive song – 3% referring to the percentage of Australians who identify as Aboriginal. Here’s some of the lyrics: “They locked us up and then they threw away the key, It’s the stolen generations hauntin’ trauma that I see, They stole the land in the name of their kings, Now look at how they act when you mention Alice Springs, I see my people always locked up, locked up, locked up, locked up, Why my people always locked up, locked up, locked up, locked up? Free my people always locked up, locked up, locked up, locked up, Here my people always locked up, locked up, locked up, locked up!”
Anyway, you get the idea. Noting that this song was put on just before the family fireworks at 9pm. So lots of kids would have been watching all of this. After the song finished, they proceeded to blow up the Harbour Bridge, well, not really, but they plastered it with messages such as ‘Warriors’, ‘Rise’, ‘We Are Sea’, ‘Be Strong’, and so on.
It wasn’t just about Indigenous people. Melbourne singer Angie McMahon had some words to say about the Israel-Palestine conflict. Just before her last song, she said: “Thanks again. Palestinians should be free.”
Prominent anti-Voice campaigner Warren Mundine commented on the politicisation of the ABC’s New Year’s Eve entertainment labelling it ‘disgraceful’. He said, “We just want to have a relaxed start to the year and have fun. New Year’s Eve is an incredible landmark occasion for Sydney, and the world, in fact. It’s telecast all over the world, and I think people are getting sick and tired of the politicisation of things. We’re sick and tired of the politicisation of everything.”
It’s not the first time the ABC have been accused of sapping the fun out of New Year’s Eve. In 2022, they had rap duo Barkaa and Dobby who performed their song I Can't Breathe while wearing Black Lives Matter t-shirts. They also had Blak Douglas as curator of the Welcome to Country fireworks theme who said, “We are taking over one of the most famous icons on the planet [the Sydney Harbour Bridge], an icon that was never consulted amongst either the Gadigal or Cammeray people.”
So yes, the ABC have again spoilt New Year’s Eve by making it all about blame and victimhood. Thankfully, I turned it off straight after Charlie Pickering failed to mention the word Sydney during his introduction.

Virtuous Supermarkets Don’t Like Australia Day
January 26th is coming up – Australia Day – a time to celebrate everything Australian. Australia Day’s traditionally a time for sporting events, citizenship ceremonies, barbeques and fireworks. It’s a time to bring Australians together to be thankful for our way of life and hard-won freedoms. What could possibly be wrong with that?
Well… in recent years, some Indigenous Australians and supporters have protested its celebration labelling it Invasion Day, Survival Day, or Day of Mourning. The day is seen as a sadistic celebration of the invasion of their traditional lands. Some call for the date of Australia Day to be changed, while others call for the holiday to be abolished entirely. Although this is only a minority position, some big companies and organisations have jumped on board.
In 2017, publicly-funded national Australian youth radio station Triple J announced that they would no longer play their annual music listener poll The Hottest 100 on 26th January due to “growing dialogue around Indigenous recognition and perspectives on 26 January”.
Last year, 2023, the Victorian government quietly axed its Australia Day parade and fireworks without any sort of formal announcement. Cricket Australia also stopped referring to Australia Day in any promotions for games held on January 26. Kmart announced they would no longer be selling any Australia Day merchandise to ensure it is “inclusive and respectful to all”. The Australian Open also shelved the holiday.
And now in 2024, the supermarkets have now jumped on the bandwagon. Australia’s biggest retailer Woolworths have announced they will no longer stock Australian Day merchandise stating, “While Australian flags are sold within BIG W all year round, we don’t have any additional themed merchandise available to purchase in-store in our supermarkets or Big W ahead of Australia Day. There has been a gradual decline in demand for Australia Day merchandise from our stores over recent years. At the same time there’s been broader discussion about 26 January and what it means to different parts of the community.”
German-owned discount supermarket chain Aldi have also followed suit announcing they will no longer be stocking Australia Day merchandise. In 2014, they famously stocked a shirt that read, “Australia est. 1788”, and was accused of being racist, despite approval from the federal government.
Serious question: Is it only Australia that attacks its traditional customs and values as much as we do? I have never been to another country that is so set on destroying itself.
In response to Woolworths move, Leader of the Opposition Peter Dutton said, “I think people should boycott Woolworths. I would advise very strongly to take your business elsewhere… until we get common sense out of a company like Woolworths, I don't think they should be supported by the public.”
In a media release, One Nation leader Pauline Hanson commented on the controversy stating, “Big business in Australia appears to be completely out of touch with the rest of us. Today I was in a Bunnings store where an employee told me staff had been instructed to wear no items associated with celebrating Australia Day because it might offend someone.”
Coles is apparently the only major supermarket that hasn’t yet joined the woke brigade, although give them time, I’m sure they’ll come round. A spokesperson said, “We are stocking a small range of Australian-themed summer entertaining merchandise throughout January which is popular with our customers for sporting events such as the cricket and tennis, as well as for the Australia Day weekend”.
It’s interesting, these big companies like Woolworths pretend to be virtuous, but yet, they’re happy to underpay their staff, participate in price-gouging during a cost-of-living crisis, and generally treat farmers and suppliers with disdain. They claim to want to help Indigenous Australians, but for five years pushed to build a giant Woolworths-owned Dan Murphy’s liquor store in the nation’s most inebriated city of Darwin, with public health groups arguing the store would increase the rate of alcohol-related harm and put nearby Aboriginal communities at risk. Although, Woolworths have since backed down from this plan placing it on the back burner.
It seems like these big companies just don’t learn. Woolworths famously supported the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum, which the Australian people ended up voting against, so for no reason at all they, they decided to alienate more than half their customer base.
Look, companies are free to do what they want, but so are customers. If companies choose to pick a side that doesn’t align with your own, you’re free to pick a different company.
As I said in previous videos, and I think this is the best advice for them, Woolworths and the like should stop taking sides in divisive social issues. Bluntly speaking, they should shut up and stick to selling groceries.

New Labor Leader Continues to Support Treaty
Steven Miles, the newly unelected Premier of Queensland seems to think Queenslanders are mugs. He only attained his office after the previous premier resigned. Despite former Premier Palaszczuk essentially ruling out the Path to Treaty due to lack of bipartisan support from the Liberal National Party, Premier Miles (whose from Labor’s Left faction) seems to think he can go against all that and is pushing ahead with the Treaty nonetheless. “Premier pushes ahead with Treaty as 6000 fight against it”. The Premier is quoted as saying, “My government remains committed to continuing on a Path To Treaty, as legislated by Parliament”. He seems to have ignored the will of the people.
Here’s a map of how many states supported last year’s Indigenous Voice referendum. The answer is zero. All states voted No. Only the relatively tiny Australian Capital Territory voted majority Yes. Queenslanders overwhelmingly voted No at almost 70%. Why does the new Labor leader continue to push for this divisive Treaty? Does he want Labor to fail in the upcoming 2024 election in October?
As the headline indicated earlier, there is a current petition to the Parliament being run called the “Repeal of Path to Treaty Act 2023” which has over 6,000 signatures. The petition highlights the “emphatic ‘NO’ from Queensland to the National Voice Referendum. On that basis your petitioners also reject the notion that the Government has the ‘mandate of the people’ to legislate Treaty.”
An alternative petition was also set up “In support of the Path to Treaty” with approximately 2,300 signatures. If we do the maths, there’s a total of 8,348 people who have signed these petitions. 2,300 for Treaty, 6,000 against. This works out to be approximately 27.8% for, 72.2% against, clearly along similar lines as the federal Voice referendum result. The majority of Queenslanders don’t want this, but yet, Premier Steven Miles and the Labor Party in their infinite wisdom continue to support it. There’s only one logical way out of this that I can reason. Queenslanders need to vote against Labor in the upcoming election.

Appease the 3% by Renaming Place Names
We take a look at the Queensland Government’s Great Keppel Island Draft Master Plan, well, the Woppa Draft Master Plan. Great Keppel Island has been relegated to a smaller font and placed in brackets. Apparently, there’s something wrong with Western place names, and we have to start using Aboriginal names instead. When I hear the name Woppa, I imagine a Hungry Jack’s burger (or Burger King burger). Or perhaps I imagine the English definition: Whopper, informal, “a gross or blatant lie”. For example, “Queensland Premier Steven Miles is telling whoppers about Woppa (Great Keppel Island) in brackets”.
Joking aside, Woppa is named after the Woppaburra People who were the original inhabitants of the island pre-colonisation. Great Keppel is named after 1st Viscount Augustus Keppel, Admiral in the British Royal Navy in the 1700s. My question is: What is the purpose of renaming these islands? Is it to erase Australia’s colonial past? Is that what people want? To forget history? Is it to appease the 3.2% of people who identify as Aboriginal, noting that not every Aboriginal person would agree with these name changes, so it’s actually less that 3%. What ever happened to democracy? Shouldn’t the majority of people support these name changes? But we already know the Government will never take it to a vote, because they already know the result.
Queensland already has many Aboriginal place names that have been named that way for many, many years. Caboolture, Coolangatta, Goondiwindi, Mooloolaba, Noosa, Toowoomba, Yeppoon, just to name a few. It’s not like Queenslanders have been against Aboriginal place names. What if we tried renaming these cities to Western names? Nobody would agree, no matter what their ethnicity or ancestry. People have grown up with these names and are very fond of them. So why do the Government think they can do the opposite, renaming Western names to Aboriginal ones? Brisbane people are already very fond of their city name. A name change should not even be entertained. Luckily, the Government can’t go too far with this without pissing everybody off. But they’re trying.
Last year, the Government renamed Fraser Island to K’Gari. I wasn’t consulted. Renaming a bridge is one thing, but renaming the world’s largest sand island without seeking approval by a democratic vote or whatever, that’s just wrong in my opinion. This animal, a dingo, apparently is now called a wongari. I thought dingo was an Aboriginal word. This is what happens when we just allow the willy-nilly renaming of things. Nobody can agree.
Look, I understand name changes in certain circumstances. If there was a place name that contained some kind of profanity, say, F**kstone Ridge, then yes, I understand why we might change it to Frogstone Ridge, and I’d guess most Queenslanders would agree with, or at least understand the name change. But renaming perfectly good names such as Great Keppel Island, is there really any need for this? Is this just the appeasement of the minority at the expense of the majority, democracy be damned?
Welcome to Whopper (Big Hamburger). Flame-grilled to perfection.

Australians Are Not Very Healthy #unhealthy #australia
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics National Health Survey, Australians are a pretty unhealthy bunch. Only 4.2% of us eat enough fruit and vegetables. Less than one quarter of us get enough exercise. Almost half of us mostly sit throughout the day. Almost two thirds of adults are overweight or obese. Half of us have at least one chronic condition, such as mental health conditions, back problems, arthritis, asthma, or diabetes. But the most telling statistic is that eight in ten people have at least one long-term health condition. Only 18.6% of Australians are considered “healthy” according to the ABS. As I said, we’re an unhealthy bunch.

Australia Day Is Being Deleted
We all know shops such as Woolworths, Aldi, and Kmart are refusing to stock Australia Day merchandise. Okay, whatever. People can choose to shop elsewhere. Last year, four Australian councils scrapped Australia Day citizenship ceremonies, including three in Melbourne, as well as Hobart City Council, which passed by only one vote with calls of “shame” from the public gallery.
This year, however, 81 councils have scrapped their Australia Day ceremonies. This is out of a total of 537 Australian councils meaning 15% of councils will no longer hold these ceremonies on Australia Day. The reason for such a rapid rise in dissenting councils is that the Albanese Government scrapped a rule that forced all councils to hold citizenship ceremonies on January 26. All the Prime Minister had to say on the matter was, “The Government still supports Australia Day.” LOL!
Here’s the Geelong City Council website who “held a six-month conversation about 26 January to understand and acknowledge the experiences of First Nations Peoples”. As a result of the feedback, the council have decided they will “Re-schedule citizenship ceremonies to another day within three days of 26 January”, “Cease referring to 26 January as Australia Day in all communications and refer to the day as 26 January”, and, “Council has also reaffirmed its commitment to the Uluru Statement of the Heart”, you know, the one Australians voted against in last year’s referendum.
Here’s the University of Sydney’s News Website. Just by accident, when I searched for Australia Day, I got the following results: “International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia”, “Lesbian Visibility Day”, “International Transgender Day of Visibility”, “International Day of People with Disability”, and, “Global Accessibility Awareness Day”. That’s all. There’s absolutely nothing about Australia Day. And I’m not even joking here. These are real results. You can try it out for yourself (link below).
Here’s the Coffs Harbour City Council website. They conduct Citizenship ceremonies on Harmony Day, on Citizenship Day, and around Australia Day, not on it, around it. Heaven forbid you hold an Australia Citizenship ceremony on Australia Day. You might offend somebody, right?
University of Wollongong’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Patricia M. Davidson announced a New respectful work arrangement for Australia Day basically allowing employees to work on 26 January instead of taking the day off in “a show of respect for First Nations people”. They state that although for many people Australia Day is a time of celebration, for Indigenous Australians, this date translates to invasion, survival and murder. So if you celebrate Australia Day, you’re celebrating murder you barbarian!, at least according to the University of Wollongong.
The City of Stonnington in Melbourne has some upcoming events. Guess what happens on January 26? A healing ceremony! Don’t worry it’s free, and there’s no mention of that evil Australia Day. Actually, there’s no mention of the word Australia, which is just a European colonial creation after all.
Look, I could go on forever, but I think you get the idea. Australia Day is under attack, which means Australia is under attack. The PM might pretend that nothing is happening, but it couldn’t be further from the truth.
