Fred Birnbaum testifies against H81, the Maternal Mortality Review Committee

On February 15, IFF's legislative affairs director Fred Birnbaum testified against House Bill 81. This bill would have renewed the Maternal Mortality Review Committee, which was intended to provide feedback on how to mitigate the deaths of mothers in Idaho who were pregnant or recently had children.
As Birnbaum notes, however, the program only told us what we already knew, and recommended more government programs. "You know the old saying 'All roads lead to Rome?' Well, all government-created committees lead to the call for more government spending."
