Strong Tornadoes and Severe Gusts Hit The South

Weather Update:

The strong tornadoes and severe gusts hit the South hard and the result has been damaged buildings. Roofs ripped off of apartments displacing up to 15 people in the middle of the night in Mississippi and Alabama. One town mentioned was Eutaw Alabama which had a roof missing from an apartment complex. Strong tornadoes were near the Gulf Coast in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

When the strong tornadoes left Texas they were enroute to threatening more than 25 million people. No fatalities were known at the time of this video. There were 4 people injured from the strong tornadoes and severe gusts. Debris was thrown thousands of feet in the air.

The National Weather Service stated that the threat of a supercell is still ongoing. The Eutaw Police are going to knock door to door when daylight breaks to ensure residents aren't stuck in their homes from the intense storms.

Tornado warnings were issued Tuesday afternoon and throughout the evening. There was 2-inch hail hit the South and very severe gusts of the lower to mid-Mississippi Valley, Mid-South, and parts of the Southeast according to the Watchers website.

The Watchers website also stated that NWS Storm Prediction Center received 22 tornado reports.

A strong tornado hit Jackson Mississippi in Choctaw County. Two strong tornadoes hit Columbus Mississippi. There was a tornado near Columbus Air Force Base in Lowndes County. In Columbus Mississippi, a large and strong tornado damaged a local volunteer fire and rescue building.
A strong tornado hit Caldwell Parish Louisiana. There are pictures on Twitter showing the large tornadoes in Yazoo City Mississippi and in Bassfield Mississippi.

Significant damage occurred 4 people were seriously injured. This storm will definitely have a long trail of storm damage in several states and counties.

There are a lot of power lines down and trees are blown onto homes due to the strong tornadoes and severe gusts. There are still power outages as of this video.
