How I improved my Lyman American 8

I've been bothered by the little bit of deflection in these turrupt presses for decades. From my very first Spartan T to my turret, to my turret II, to my MAG T, to this American eight reloading press. Each one except for the Spartan T has been sold off largely because of this flex or deflection in the turret head. This one has probably been one of the best in this regard, it's pretty minimal but it's there and all although I don't consider myself an OCD person it's always bothered me. I thought about shipping it actually did shim in the back and was able to remove all of the deflection. But it was a hassle you had to put the shim in every time any time you turn the turn you had to pull it back out and put it back in it was a Band-Aid at best. And I frankly almost stopped using the press because of it . In speaking with a friend of mine he was going to make me up some shims and I'm sure that would've worked but in thinking last night I realize that I could do exactly what I'm gonna show you here in this video. So I hope this helps someone it was pretty easy to do and I'm extremely satisfied with the results.
