The Pufferfish they range in size from the 1 inch long dwart or pygmy puffer to the freshwater giant puffer with can grow to more than 2 feet in length. They are scaleless fish and usually have rough to skin. All have four teeth that are fused together into a beak-like form. Pufferfish is a family primarily marine and estuarine fish it the order Tetraodontiformes. The family includes many familiar species variously called pufferfish, puffers, balloonfish, blowfish, bubble fish, globe fish, swell fish, toadfish, toadies, honey toads, sugar toads, and squab. Scientific name Tetraodontidae.
