As Brazil's leftist government cracks down on dissent and blocks free speech, those who attended the January 8, 2023 protests against him in Brasilia are beginning to face extreme punishment.

This includes a recent 17 year sentence handed out to a man who photographed himself with the Brazilian flag on top of the tower of the National Congress during the protests. The devious actions of Brazil's STF and the unholy alliance between Lula and Alexandre de Moraes continues to worsen things for the whole country, even those who voted for Lula.

How did things get so bad? What does the future hold for Brazil?
