Carolyn Rocco Lt Col, U.S. Air Force

PROFILE Carolyn Rocco is a prior-enlisted Air Force lieutenant colonel, who graduated Basic Military Training as an Honor Graduate, and six years later graduated ROTC as a Distinguished Graduate. She is a two-time Office of Special Investigations (OSI) commander and was an Air Force ROTC instructor in the Pacific Northwest when the DoD vaccine mandate was implemented. She was unable to return to OSI after successfully completing two years as an instructor because she was not vaccinated, which resulted in her staying a third year in the PNW. She was denied a medical exemption, even after showing a high level of covid antibodies post natural infection, and subsequently submitted a Religious Accommodation Request (RAR) which was also denied at both the MAJCOM and Surgeon General level.

In August 2022, Ohio Judge McFarland issued a preliminary injunction for Air and Space Force members, which protected Carolyn from being removed from service. In Summer 2023, Carolyn returned to OSI in hopes to bring awareness and restoration to OSI and the larger Air Force.
