The Congress has gridlock. I'm frankly very unimpressed with the ability of the Senate Republicans to decide that they're really Biden Republicans, which is even worse than being a RHINO (Republican in Name Only). The deal that Mitch McConnell announced with Chuck Schumer, I think, is totally opposed by most Americans. Recently, I did a column outlining what we've learned at America’s New Majority Project, where overwhelmingly, the American people, in order to fight inflation and get to a balanced budget overwhelmingly by 71%, want to see spending cut.

Over 55% are willing to have a government shutdown if that's what it takes to get the spending cut. And I'm watching the Senate Republicans just roll over and surrender and agree to a proposal which, by the way, has $6 billion for Ukraine and not a penny for the border.
