They all called me essential
Cause they were too scared to leave their house

I was taught to just say no
With hopes that all my kids would have
10 fingers and 10 toes
So all you politicians
And unelected bureaucrats
I’ll take my place in peasant class
But I ain't no white rat

Now I'm cutting coupons
And picking up cans
To take to the grocery store
If I can still get in
But if they ask me for my papers
What the hell am I supposed to do?
(Besides scrounge for food)
