ND high school rodeo athlete Sidney Weinberger, a freshman at Flasher Public School, comes from a long line of rodeo genetics, starting with her mom, Sonya Weinberger, former barrel racer, and Miss Rodeo ND. Her grandpa Jerry Weinberger and Larry Froelich gave Sydney a positive outlook on 'all things rodeo'. She talks about her first high school rodeo season as a freshman and her life in rodeo. Rodeo mom, Sonya, gives her outlook on the evolution of rodeoing from her time as a child to the present day. Tisa Peek visits with both daughter and mother on today's episode.

The Killdeer Mountain Roundup Rodeo was the first rodeo ever inducted into the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame. They are the oldest professional sporting event in the state! In 2023, they will celebrate their 100th anniversary with a huge bbq, a Chancey Williams concert, and much more. Wild Bill sits down with one of the organizers from the Killdeer Saddle Club, Gene Harris, to discuss the huge event coming in July.

Larry Sandvick was born to Thorris & Lynell Sandvick on May 15, 1966, the 5th of 6 children. He grew up on their ranch in the Little Missouri River Badlands, north of Killdeer, ND graduating from high school in 1984. Larry then attended Casper Community College, graduating in 1987 with an associate degree in agriculture-business & construction technology. Larry began competing in youth rodeos when he was five and later in amateur rodeos. He participated in every event except steer wrestling in high school thru college. He turned pro in 1989, specializing in bareback. He participated in 125 to 150 rodeos a year. He won numerous rodeos throughout the years, including Denver, Pendleton, Ellensburg, Calgary, Caldwell, Dallas, and Cheyenne. In 2018, Larry took his place in The Hall of Honorees at The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame and was the week's inductee.
