Cowboys News: Dallas To Franchise Tag Tony Pollard

Dallas Cowboys news comes in from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport as he reports that Cowboys’ RB Tony Pollard is expected to receive the franchise tag if a long-term contract extension isn’t reached by Tuesday’s tag deadline. Pollard is coming off of a career-year, but a leg injury suffered in the 2023 NFL Playoffs could lead to a cautionary approach by Dallas. If tagged, Pollard’s 2023 cap hit would be $10.09 million and the two sides would have until July 15th to negotiate a long-term deal.
