- Roquan Smith tampering violation? The NFL Management Council sent a memo to teams across the league about contacting Roquan Smith as a potential trade target. Bears rumors of Roquan reaching out to other NFL teams had been surfacing as he requested a trade from Chicago. Will Bears’ GM Ryan Poles trade Roquan Smith?
- Teven Jenkins playing right guard? Jenkins took all of his reps at Bears camp today at the RG position with the 2nd and 3rd string offense. Could Jenkins push veteran Michael Schofield as the starter at that spot on the Bears offensive line?
- Bears Injury Updates: Several key Bears players returned to practice including rookies Velus Jones Jr. and Kyler Gordon as they both spoke to the media today. Other Bears players that practiced at Halas Hall today included Kindle Vildor, David Montgomery, Cole Kmet, Mario Edwards Jr. and James O’Shuaghnessy. Several players got work in on the side including Byron Pringle, Justin Jones, Jaquan Brisker and Tajae Sharpe.
- Luke Getsy Press Conference: The Bears offensive coordinator spoke to the media after today’s practice and spoke highly of QB Justin Fields. Getsy says Fields needs more “game reps” but was happy with how things looked against the Chiefs.
- Justin Fields & Darnell Mooney had another strong day at Bears training camp as they synced up for a pair of touchdowns. Harrison believes this QB-WR duo can be special this season.
