"Shut this down quickly" | Bret Weinstein on the WHO Pandemic Treaty, a.k.a. New World Constitution

The World Health Organization has tried a power grab with their Pandemic Treaty. In the case of an actual or potential (!) pandemic, the Treaty would have given (incompetent and corrupt) WHO full control over their member states' response.

The ONLY thing WHO would need to do if they wanted countries to do whatever is in WHO's funders' best interest, is to declare a (potential) pandemic. Then all membership states who be required by law to follow WHO's dictates.

Thankfully, the amendment has been shot down last week, in no small part due to African nations (who know a thing or two about tyranny).

Weinstein thinks the pandemic treaty is an incredibly bad idea.

In an ideal world, especially an interconnected world, you might see the wisdom of a health organization coordinating the response to a public health emergency, especially an infectious disease public health emergency.

However, there are significant risks associated with what is a de facto New World Constitution.

Weinstein is "certainly against any more power to coordinate and to dictate to the same people who thoroughly botched the response to COVID19. ... I don't want these people anywhere near that kind of power. They have demonstrated they are incapable of wielding it responsibly."

I couldn't agree more with Weinstein. Since power corrupts sooner or later, we should never hand over power to any institution, especially one that has already proved itself to be corrupt/captured and whose actions have severely harmed public health.

I also agree that the Treaty is likely "a Trojan horse of some kind", leading to more and more centralization of power and a (corrupt) One World Government. The mere risk of it being a Trojan horse is sufficient to "Shut this down quickly".

I highly recommend watching the entire interview, because it's fantastic. However, I will not be mirroring the interview on my Rumble channel yet, because I want UnHerd to receive the advertising income they deserve.
