See What Nigerian Singer, Bella Shmurda Said In An Interview After He Left His Former Record Label.
Famous Nigerian singer, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed professionally known as Bella Shmurda has opened up on the amount he disbursed to safeguard his discharge from his former record label, One World Global Records.
According to Bella Shmurda, he revealed that he paid N20 million to the management to become an independent artiste after spending a year out of his 3-year deal.
He also claimed that he was cheated by the record label because they took a bigger percentage of his revenues.
Speaking on the Tea with Taymesan podcast, he illustrated that he would source for N500k as requested by the label and they in turn would bring N500k for production, promotion, and some other things that need funding.
Nevertheless, when money starts coming from show performances, streaming, endorsement, and other areas, they would take 70 percent and give him 30 percent.
The “Cash App” crooner, explained that he was not satisfied with that arrangement so he hired a lawyer and bought himself out of One World Global Records.
