In a new study, The Effect of Access to Puberty Blockers and Cross-Sex Hormones on Youth Suicide Rates, Heritage Foundation senior research fellow Jay Greene, Ph.D. conducts an empirical analysis that examines this question – and finds alarming results. Using a superior research design, his analysis finds that easing minors’ access to cross-sex medical interventions is associated with a significant increase in the adolescent suicide rate.
